"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "I took advantage of a promotion ARS was offering in mid April to come to my condo for a routine tune up of my furnace and AC. From the second the plumber walked through my door, he was trying to sell me something. First, he said the quality of my air was awful, and I needed an air scrubber. Then he recommended I purchase their annual tune-up service/subscription where I get priority service and discounts on the parts he was trying to sell me. We then went out to my Air Conditioning unit. He said he was not allowed to touch it because it was out of code and against environmental standards. He recommended I purchase a new unit. When I asked how much, he said he'd need to get a sales professional out to give me a quote. That was after he had tried to sell me three different things... This week, with the temperatures rising, I turned on my air conditioning. Except there was a problem: It would not turn on. After trying to troubleshoot by changing the batteries in my thermostat and switching off and on the fuses, I finally called an HVAC professional recommended by a friend. The plumber walked in, looked at my furnace, laughed, and turned on the switch. He said most likely it was left off so I would have to call back and be charged for another ARS service call. He also tested my air quality and said it was fine. Lastly, even though my AC unit might be out of code. I am still grandfathered in on maintenance and other services that are needed. Long story short, as a new home buyer (less than 1 year) I will never utilize ARS services again and would not recommend it to any friends or family members. All they are trying to do is sell you their products and services. Clearly, they do not care about delivering a great customer experience or consider doing what is best for the customers. Perhaps it was an ownership change but our first problem was when we returned to our home on a December Sunday: no heat and it was 50 and falling. We called the advertised "24/7 Emergency" service. And called and called and called. No one showed up for 24 hours. We are loyal customers, so we excused that. Now, for two weeks (and two heat spells, the third starting) we have been without a/c. A service tech came out, confirmed that our first floor unit had to be replaced and told us he would have his office give us a quote on price and installation time. We never got a call and when we did, we were treated as if we "misunderstood" the tech and had just sat in the heat but we DID get a new appointment for another person to show up to give us an estimate and, no, we could not be told or even given an estimate for installation. Asking for a supervisor, a Mr. Willey, we were told he was "unavailable" but would call us right back. That was 4 days ago. We are done with this outfit. If you need a dependable and polite company to take care of your heat, a/c or generator needs, you should check out others. HPHC is, to put it mildly, overstetched and overcommitted."

"I have bought appliances from Yale for 3 different houses over the past 15 years. Most recently bought over $65k worth of appliances because I had good experiences before. This time, one of the appliances - a Yale-branded icemaker - was broken out of the box at delivery. Asked to have it replaced, they said no - I had accepted delivery so they would have to repair it. They scheduled an appointment to do so, then canceled it because part was not available, and replaced with an appointment scheduled a month later (which they scheduled without asking if it worked.) I sat and waited, technician came and said part wasn't available, he knew he wasn't going to be able to fix it, but came anyway because there was an appointment. Looked over the unit, told me his supervisor would call that afternoon, and he left. No call. I called back the following Monday, and spoke to 2 different who said they weren't able to help, but a supervisor would call. When he did, he said they had no part for it, no eta for the part to be delivered, and had no units in stock to replace it, but that even if they did that wasn't covered by the warranty so too bad. No apology for the wasted appointment, and in a very dishonest way tried to say that the first appointment is always diagnostic, even though it was specifically rescheduled by them because part was backordered. Said that they deserved the opportunity to fix it instead of replace it, and when I told them they'd more than had that opportunity over a period of months, including the appointment they'd just had, he got upset and said a number of things that were offensive and that there was no path forward for resolution."
