Don knows his plumbing. Also gave some other advise on a bad water meter.

Don Mercier replaced the shower fixtures in about 1 hour. He was very thorough and cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend him to anyone.

Don Mercier seems like a nice guy. Polite, courteous..and competent.
He has performed several repairs and each time has been courteous and knowledgeable, and prompt.
I would certainly give him a good referral.

I called Don, and he was there, at our house, within the hour. He fixed the problem, made sure that everything inside was ok, secured the house, and checked in with us immediately. We would ABSOLUTELY recommend BCPand H to all of our friends and neighbors, and we will certainly use them again for ANY plumbing or heating issues we ever have!

I had previously used Don Mercier on a small plumbing repair job and everything went well. Good work, below average price and he seemed to be responsive. So I decided to have him do a larger job. On Thursday, March 7, 2013 Don Mercier inspected my premises and we went over the work that I needed. It involverd two outside water connections, making a connection for an outdoor shower, and making a gas fireplace connection. Don agreed to do the work and said he would have an estimate for me on Monday or Tuesday (March 11th or 12th). Monday afternoon I called him on his cell phone and he said the job would be an hourly job and he would be at my house on Thursday or Friday (March 14th or 15th) to get started. I thought it was odd that he didn't have an estimate available, but I agreed to letting him start without it, since I was previously pleased with his competitive rates.
Don didn't show up on Thursday and I wasn't overly concerned. However, by noon Friday he still hadn't shown up and I had no phone call from him. So I called his cell phone and got no answer. I left a messsage wanting to know the status and if he was still going to arrive and get started. I called two more times between noon and 5 pm on Friday, but still no answer and I left left two more message. On Saturday, the 16th of March I again called and left a message. No response. Same on Sunday the 17th--callled, no answer, left message. On Monday the 18th I left a and quot;final and quot; message stating that if I didn't hear from him by the end of the day I had to assume that he didn't want the work and I would get another plumber. Needless to say, I heard nothing from him--and still haven't.

My daughter told me there was water in the basement and where it was coming from. It did not appear to be urgent but it needed to be attended to. After playing abit of telephone tag an appointment was set up in an appropriate time frame. He was punctual, quickly assesed the issue (which was something I never would have thought of) repaired it, reviewe the situation and answered any questions,
Although I thought the cost was a little high it was within what I had anticipated. I was not present for the repair to know what was required for the'minor' repair or the time required.

Don diagnosed problem quickly by replacing a pressure switch. I highly recommend Don and his company. Very professional and honest. This job would have cost much more with other plumbing companies. He completed the job under budget and will gladly use his services for my next plumbing needs.

4/17/2012: Called to request assistance.4/18/2012: Don arrived on time, determined disposer should be replaced and suggested we visit two showrooms to select new faucet.4/20/2012: Don arrived "on the dot" at 10am. Disposer installation required re-directing drain pipes. Faucet installation and hose bib replacement went smoothly. Don also tightened Packing Nut on a second hose bib. All work was done in professional manner. And, Don applied 10% discount for our "senior status". We are very pleased!

The purpose was to resolve continuing leaks in the sink drain because of a previous poor installation. The job was done well, in a reasonable amount of time, without disruption. I'm pleased that the problem was removed and that we now have a professionally installed system. Another bonus was detection of a mysterious leak caused by a crack in the spray handle that I had difficulty finding.

All around good job.

Each time we have called this guy, he has responded right away and has scheduled a timely appointment. He has seemed knowledgeable in each of the calls pertaining to our heating system and plumbing issues. He has explained what he has done and has charged a seemingly fair price. We would call him again.

Don went above and beyond. We invited him back to our home after two excellent experiences and we were not disappointed. He had noticed that the gas shutoff was in the basement, where it didn't belong, the last visit. This visit he moved it and when he pulled out the stove noticed that the stove was just sitting on bare plywood with no flooring. Don went out of his way to position the stove properly and secure it much better. He also hooked up the ice maker in the fridge and secured a bunch of PVC pipes in the basement that were just "dangling" for lack of a better word. You can always count on Don to do the best work for the best price and be confident that it will be done right the first time. This service visit was no exception.

We discovered we had no heat and were referred to Don from another Angie's List provider, who we'd used the day before to fix our dishwasher (and had an excellent experience with. Don was polite, answered the phone promptly and asked if he could call me back as he was in the middle of a job. He called back within an hour; I explained my situation and he said he could make it that day. At the time I didn't know it was the pilot light, I just thought my furnace had gone out. Don came out, went right to work, saw the pilot was out, lit it and that was that. However, he looked at the furnace and noted it could use some maintenance work and said he would call for later in the week since we were expecting a snowstorm.
