"Bob is very detail oriented and worked hard. He works by the hour so it is important to me that he worked dilligently and smartly so that i was not wasting my money. he knew what he was doing with carpentry and did a thorough job. he had to match the flooring in a section and install it so that it fit visually with little to no seam which he did a great job on. For the cabinetry work he had good ideas on how to proceed and gave us several options. he is very experienced so he is perfect for problem solving a complex fix or project."

"Paul was on time and got to work right away. He was very respectful of my home and put on boot covers as soon as he entered and placed a plastic protecter on the floor beneath where the fan was to be installed. Very neat and clean. While performing the installation, he informed me that the mounting bracket that was used for the original fan was only rated for a light fixture and showed me the difference between the screws used for the current bracket and the proper one. He quoted a price for the proper bracket and I gladly obliged. He also installed a new wall switch that controls both the fan and light kit wirelessly. The final results are perfect. Before he left, I asked him about replacing my noisy bathroom fan with something quiet and with a heater. Since a new line to a circuit breaker would have to be dropped, he checked out my electrical panel. He informed me that my current electrical panel was not up to code and who ever worked on the panel to add new breakers overloaded the panel (22 breakers in a 20 breaker panel). He was not pushy at all in having the panel upgraded to the proper size but did inform me of potential issues I could have in the future and that it is not up to code. I am extremely satisfied with the job Paul did and I plan on having Paul perform the other needed services I require. A+."

"I was happy with the work done by Matt and his crew on my roof replacement. Of the highlights, Matt excelled at customer service. I had spoken to several contractors during the bidding process and Matt clearly stood out as someone to provide detailed guidance and credible advice on the project. As my roof was being replaced as part of an insurance claim, Matt took the initiative to bring in additional contractors to build out an initial estimate for all of the work, to get things moving with the insurance company, which was a huge help. Matt took things a bit further and spoke directly with the insurance company regarding details of my roof and other work that was not started yet and was able to help me gain significantly more coverage than originally provided! Matt was always available for questions and promptly returned my calls and emails throughout the process. In one instance, I had requested that they hold off on installation of the ice and water shield one day due to the cold temperatures. Matt agreed to this with no hesitation, even though it required them to work the weekend to complete the work. Per my inspection throughout the roofing process and after, everything looked good and I found only a few things that were missed, which Matt took care of immediately. Some mess and nails were left behind after the work, but it was fairly minimal. Due to the scale of the work, Matt / MMP did bring in subcontractors to perform much of the standard roofing work. I would have appreciated if MMP was more forthcoming about this earlier in the process. MMP had someone from their team on-site for the entire process, but I think that they could have kept a closer eye on the sub-contractors work. For the more challenging tasks, Matt came out and did the work himself. He and his team worked hard throughout the process, working long hours and through the weekend to get everything completed in a timely manner and reduce risk of water leakage in case of rain. I will certainly consider MMP for future work on my house."

"The project went great, from the first phone call to the end of the job. We were called a day before to confirm the arrival time, and the work crew arrived on schedule. It turned out they had some additional material from a previous job that day, so they actually repaired a bit more of the wall than had been agreed on, which we really appreciated. When we originally scheduled the job, we were given information on other services that Pioneer Basement provides, but at no time were we given any sales pitches. We're very confident that we picked the right firm to do our foundation repairs -- we'll definitely call them first for any similar work, and will recommend them to friends."

Their flexibility was remarkable, dealing with changes in plan created by us during the project. This project involved gut and remodel of a basement and bathroom. Much of the basement we did required a design-build approach, and it was very comforting to have such experienced professionals making sure we would be happy with the end result.  I can't say enough about this companies willingness to take the time to discuss the project with us - some contractors are only there for the beginning of a job - Rich (the owner) was incredibly responsive solving the dilemmas that the project entailed.  Taking the time to work with the customer and make things right separates this company from many.  Their craftsmen are skilled at creating well-crafted, clean-lined, new spaces, and doing the extra work to make the job look the way you want it it. "Superbly!! The contractor, my wife and I worked as a team from the start of the project. My wife and I provided the design and statement of work for VC C. We researchded/supplied all materials for VCC. The contractor was extremely well organized. He::: made suggestions to fine tune the plan...laid out the steps of the process...provided contacts for materials purchases ...gave us the names of electrical, plumbing, flooring third parties we could evaluate for project work... performed demolition, preparation, carpentry, painting, stairway/cabinet installation, tile (floor/backsplash) installation...managed subcontractors and finished the project on time In a nut shell he was an excellent listener, a direct communicator of ideas and suggestions, and an experieced, multi- talented ethical professional."
