"They came and measured chimneys on the first visit (2 large chimneys, three stories up). Caps were delivered a week or so later. They came back and installed them. Professional and punctual. Answered all of my questions. Great to work with."

"We have lived in our house 2 1/2 years.  A few months after buying the house, we called James to inspect the roof (our home inspection found some damaged areas and noted the roof was towards the end of its life).  James came out within a couple of days and after completing the inspection and providing the quote, he recommended that we wait another year or 2 for a full roof replacement and to not spend any money to replace the damage since it was not going to extend the life of the roof.  We did just as James recommended.
When it came time to replace the roof, I called James for an estimate given the level of honesty he showed during our first encounter.  Once we agreed on a price, James scheduled a date less than a week later for the installation.  Since I was at work when they started, James sent numerous texts and pictures, keeping me constantly updated.  He even sent a picture of the shingles as evidence that what I ordered is what was installed.  Additionally, James and his team were very efficient and neat.  We have 2 dogs so we stressed our concerns of roofing nails and other debris being left behind.  My husband was home when they did the clean up and said they spent quite a bit of time cleaning up and he didn't find any remaining debris after they were finished.
The only negative comment I would make is that during the replacement they noticed that our hot water heater was not properly vented.  James instructed his team lead to go purchase supplies to fix the venting.  My husband was looking it over before they left and noticed that the wrong materials were used.  Once we brought this to James's attention, he immediately fixed the problem.  He even stayed late to ensure all of the work was completed and the venting was correct.  I understand mistakes happen sometimes so I appreciate that he admitted the mistake and corrected it immediately.
All in all, we had a nice experience with Secure Roofing and would definitely use them again!

"Took advantage of a promotion that this company ran for chimney cleaning. Although the promotion expired, they did honor the quote/price--which I appreciated. The crew came out and did the job. They were careful and didn't make any mess, which I appreciated. The cleaning was done from the bottom-up (going up through the chimney) which I didn't expect--although it makes sense. However, I have a very tall chimney (100+ feet up - it's a large 3-floor victorian house) so I wondered how that type of cleaning would work. Anyway, they did the job and I thought I got a good deal. However, I had a mason out for some other work on the chimney. When he did a full inspection he said the cleaning had only gone 'half-way' up and that they didn't do a complete job. I trust the mason more, because he did some significant jobs for multiple friends. Also, I was asking the crew leader for a quote for chimney caps. He said they could do it, but that they would definitely need a lift because of the height. And that a lift would probably cost $1000 or more (that didn't include the cost of installing the chimney cap either). Not sure if he was just trying to discourage me from choosing them for the work, but the conversation felt a little 'slick' to me. Anyway, the mason quoted me $400 for each and would go up on the roof without a lift. So clearly I didn't need to spend over $2000 to get the caps done. So in short, this is 'you get what your pay for.' If you have small house, it's probably perfect. But for me, they short-cut the job which is a disappointment."

"It was great. Royal Roofing came in with the low quote of three that I got. We have a big roof with multiple ridges and hips. We also have a large chimney and two skylights. We have had two major thunderstorms since then and no leaks. Also, we had solar panels on the roof that were taken off for there job to be done. When the panels were put back up one of the workers asked who did the roof because he was so impressed with the job that they did."

"Fantastic isn't a sufficient assessment of the job their serviceman, Rich, did. Not only did he do an excellent job cleaning the chimney and pipes (and replacing/fixing pieces I wrecked) and keeping the room clean, the insert is burning the wood better, cleaner and more completely than when it was installed brand new (it's at least 10 years old). The glass on the door is staying clean and I'm not getting smoke in the house like I use to even when I damp it down. I was late having them come because I had planned this year to replace it (I always had so much frustration with it) . Now I may not. I couldn't be happier."

"Exclusive chimney Corp is a wonderful company. The nice lady on the phone got me booked on the schedule the next day for her technician to come out and give me a fairly priced quote for the work I requested. Once I approved it they got me booked on the schedule the next week to get my repairs done! I 100% recommended this company for anyone who needs their chimney repaired timely and effective! My chimney looks brand new! Thank you so much exclusive services!"

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.
