Jon Malone, the owner of Brick By Brick, repaired our old chimney on Oct. 15, 2022, which required a new ventilation sleeve as well as patching of the exterior. We have confidence in his experience and knowledge and are very happy with his work and the neat appearance of the repaired chimney. Jon was open and honest in offering suggestions and options, and he was the only bidder to actually climb up onto the roof to assess the required repairs before offering his opinion. Jon and his assistant are very friendly and professional, are open to questions, and completed the work very efficiently. We also thought the cost for the repair was very reasonable and fair. We highly recommend Jon Malone - we give him an A+.

John is phenomenal ð and the quality of his work exceeded my expectations! I would recommend him highly! We had a woodstove that had been worked on by various contractors over the years and they basically all made a mess of it. John corrected all of the mistakes and delivered us a refurbished stove with all new parts that was - better than new!

Jon was super. Great job. I would definitely recommend him and plan to hire them again in the future. *edit* I'm still waiting for a print up of the work done, safety inspection, photos and receipt to come in the mail. I've been in touch with Jon, he had forgotten to mail it and promised it would go out the next morning but it's been quite a while and I've sent him more texts but so far nothing has come in the mail and he hasn't responded by phone or text.

John is very thorough in his work. He called a day ahead to confirm his two appointments. He showed up on time for both appointments. He did photos of my chimney and the problem areas. He also did photos of the completed work. He gave us 5 star work.

I called Jon when we were having problems and my regular chimney cleaner couldnâ t come for two months. Jon took the time to examine my stove, stovepipe and chimney and determine the real cause of the problems we experienced, then quickly and inexpensively solved them. He was considerate of a conversation I was having and worked outside until it was done, without being asked. He will definitely be my chimney cleaner from now on.

He inspected by chimney and only did what needed to be done. No stainless steel liner required. Other people wanted to put in a liner because that's where they where making their money.
