New England’s need for aesthetically pleasing, eco-friendly, 100% recyclable artificial grass lawns, playgrounds, golf greens, pet turf, commercial landscaping, synthetic playgrounds, and more!

"Jeff Lee got in touch promptly and was honest and thorough in his explanation of the process and cost. He and his team were kind, hard-working and professional. The results exceeded my expectations. I wasn't thrilled about giving up on our poor lawn but between constant use by our young boys and an unwillingness to use an unsustainable amount of water, there was little hope for it and I relented. Jeff helped us pick the right variety and it looks beautiful, natural. The color is gorgeous, and the blades are soft enough that the first time we had company in our backyard for an outdoor movie night, an 8-year old fell asleep with his face directly on the turf. Highly highly recommend."

Catseye specializes in customized rodent, wildlife and pest control solutions for families in Central and Eastern Massachusetts. We offer a permanent solution to keeping pests out for good. Catseye protects your home from mice, rats, and bats to bed bugs and termites and everything in between.

"Over 5 months paid over $1,500 to Catseye not one mouse was caught, nor did they take any bait. We still see mice periodically in the house, which was the reason we called them. Their service failed to achieve any measurable results and no refund for poor performance was offered and I was still charged the cancelation fee to end the contract early. Technicians who visited monthly were pleasant and professional but ultimately was a giant waste of money for the tech to place out traps/bait stations and stuff some holes with steel wool. Not really sure what the high-end price was for as there was nothing cutting edge or advanced in what they did. Monthly service visits last roughly 15-20 minutes I would say on average. Again all the technicians were pleasant and professional and the folks on the phone were the same they just would not budge on a refund and still charged the cancelation fee. I would look elsewhere unless your home is new enough construction to use the exclusion system which I did not get due the age of my homes foundation."

Lawn services FAQs

Depending on the areas that a lawn care company specializes in, most companies offer a core set of services that usually include:

  • Mowing

  • Mulch

  • Lawn aeration

  • Tree trimming and pruning

  • Pest control

  • Landscaping

  • Leaf removal

  • Spring and fall cleanup

  • Shrub trimming and pruning

Check with local lawn care companies to confirm that they offer the services you’re looking for.

The average cost to mow a lawn is about $125, ranging between $50 and $200 per cutting, depending on yard size. Other cost factors include the shape of your lawn, accessibility, lawn health, type of grass, length of grass, and frequency of the mowing schedule. The cost to cut your grass will also vary depending on where you live. If your landscaper has to maneuver around obstacles or deal with hard to reach areas and steep slopes, this will likely increase your total mowing costs.

The recommended frequency to fertilize your lawn depends on the health of your lawn. If the grass is healthy and you have good soil, you may only need to apply fertilizer once yearly. However, if your lawn has shallow roots or poor, sandy soil that lacks the nutrients that grass needs to thrive, you may need to fertilize the lawn every six weeks.

On average, the cost to hydroseed ranges between $500 and $4,000. The cost depends on the size of the area you’re hydroseeding, the type of grass seed, slope of your yard, and other factors. Hydroseed is a mixture of grass seed, fertilizer, water, and mulch that you spray on the lawn using a pressurized sprayer. While the process is more expensive than seeding, grass will grow more quickly, and is often healthier.

Yes, it can be cheaper to fertilize your own lawn. DIY lawn fertilization saves the cost of hiring a lawn care company or a company that specializes in lawn fertilization. It’s important to handle fertilizer carefully to avoid the potential dangers of getting fertilizing chemicals on your skin. Also, using the wrong type of fertilizer or misapplying it can permanently damage your lawn. On average, the cost to fertilize your lawn using a professional lawn care service is about $250 and may be worth checking into as professionals tend to have the equipment and knowledge to apply the most effective blend of fertilizer to your lawn for the best results.
