"They replied to my inquiry quickly and sent a very reasonable estimate right away. The job was easy to schedule promptly. They came and finished the job when they said they would. Their work was excellent! And they cleaned up after themselves! Great experience!"

"Helped with installation of glass shatter detector installation. Very professional staff. Wished they cleaned up the area a little more after they worked but otherwise happy with the installation. Did nott try to oversell services which I appreciated."

"I have had an excellent experience with Velesco tile. They just completed demolition of old tile in my first floor and then retiled my kitchen , half bath and fireplace. They put up plastic for the demolition, which creates much dust. This really helped. They showed up on time, were flexible and answered all my questions. They were neat and cleaned up appropriately. The tile is straight in ts lines and corner triangle pieces are perfect. I thought that Ronnie, the owner, was proud of his work and he had every reason to be so. I recommend him without hesitation. "Excellent experience with June. He is very professional and polite. Was a pleasure to work with. His team did a great job with the flooring and we are very impressed. He came through when another vendor backed out and was able to accommodate us in our tight timeline with very little notice to him. The project took a little longer than expected, but that could have been due to unforeseen issues. He stayed till the end and even cleaned the floors personally to ensure that we were completely satisfied. Will certainly keep him in mind for any future projects and will be happy to recommend him to others."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

Distilled white vinegar can help you remove candle wax from surfaces like countertops. You’ll need to scrape off most of the wax and use the distilled white vinegar to help soften and remove the rest and leftover residue. Keep in mind that while it’s possible, using distilled white vinegar isn’t an effective method for removing wax compared to the methods listed above.

While every professional home cleaner will have their own preference, most will use a commercial floor cleaner specifically manufactured for laminate floors. They will also use a vacuum or microfiber cloth to remove loose grit before breaking out the mop. Some cleaners will also make a final pass with a dry and clean cloth to dry your laminate floors for a smooth shine.

Wood floors should be polished every two to four months to maintain a shine and to keep them protected from daily wear and tear. More frequent maintenance includes dry mopping the floors daily and cleaning spills immediately, using a spray mop and cleaner weekly to remove any built up dirt or grime, and sanding and refinishing the floors every three to five years.

The best solution for mopping floors depends on the type of floor you have, but a good all-around or multi-purpose DIY floor cleaner is 2 cups of warm water, 5 to 10 drops of liquid dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. This is safe to use on tile, laminate, wood, polished concrete, vinyl, and more, as it’s relatively neutral and lacks caustic and abrasive chemicals that could be harmful to children and pets. You can also use a multi-purpose commercial cleaner, but make sure to follow the directions for safety.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.
