Best contractors near Westwego, LA

"I would not hesitate to recommend SES to anyone. When looking for a contractor, responsiveness and quality of work were our first priorities. SES could not have excelled more in either regard. They called everyday to provide an update on the day's work and what to expect the next. Additionally, they made sure to keep the rest of the house clean, without any evidence of their work. Courteous and respectful, will undoubtedly contact for any future needs."

"I told Mike, the day they finished renovating my home, that I would give him a FIVE STAR review for the outstanding work his company did on my home. This experience with RH & MS was an extremely positive experience. I hired them to renovate my home after Barry flooded the total ground floor of my 1200 sq. foot home. Several HomeAdvisor contractors gave me quotes on the job. RH & MS was not the lowest, but, the attention to detail in the initial walk thru separated them from the other contractors. They quickly worked to totally gut the house and re-mediate the floors, wall and insulation to prevent the growth of mold. They did an excellent job of replacing sheet rock, insulation, and painting. I was impressed by how the punctual and friendly crew cleaned up after every work day. Mike said it would take about three months and they finished one week shy of three months. I would highly recommend RH & MS General contractors with out reservation."

"Samuel is extremely competent, timely, responsive, and transparent. Unfortunately, we had a roof installed a few years ago by a company who cut corners, and STMZ came to repair two separate leaks in the “new” roof. He documented every step of the process with photos, and explained what he was doing. (Most contractors, in my experience, do not take the time to explain the process to you!) I highly recommend his services, and if we ever need to replace the roof, STMZ will be the company we will call."

"We had spoken previously, when he had been running a special - the offer was now expired, but he agreed to honor the prices we originally discussed, anyway.
He showed up to discuss the roof, walk the job and confirm the details.   In every detail he was professional, honest, and fair.   He brought us samples of the actual materials to be used, and double checked before he installed that we were happy with the color and choice of materials.   He used the highest grades of materials....felt...down to the nails that he chose, and took care to get special ones that were a little shorter for the eaves, so that, (unlike the previous roofers) they wouldn't show through underneath.
Great attention to detail.  When he said he would arrive each day, he was there a few minutes early..   His crew was respectful of our home, and cleaned up all of the debris and trash.   They swept the entire site with a magnet to be sure no nails were left around.
We hit a large storm - the carpenters working ahead of Marcio took longer than they said they would - causing Marcio delays.  He was patient and understanding about it - though it probably cost him some money.   Marcio came to our house, across the lake, during the thunderstorm...on a Sunday, to secure the roof and make sure that we didn't have leaks.   His area that his crew had been working on didn't leak - the way the carpenters left things , however, were a mess - and he helped us seal that too,  The finished product is beautiful and will, undoubtedly last long after we're long gone!  It's a gorgeous roof.
I have been a general contractor for years, myself, and my husband has built many houses.  We would highly recommend Maurcio and his crew without reservation, and we will use them again, any chance we get.

"I've been looking forward to writing this review since I got the bid back from Zeringue's this past summer. First of all, Z's wasn't the first contractor I contacted. The other six or so either never showed up, declined the work, bid way too high, or just never sent me an estimate of what I wanted done and what needed to be done. Malcolm Zeringue showed up and e-mailed me a detailed PDF and list of questions early the following day. The estimate was clear and surprisingly fair. I met him soon after with a team of subs-contractors, and they began work. What I loved was Z's conscientiousness. Malcolm and his team do not cut corners. They spend the time to get things done right so I won't have problems down the road. They communicate well and often. Throughout, I received photos of finished projects and photos of potential problems. Malcolm new I was on a budget and worked with me on everything. If they ran into uglieness (rotten wood, termite damage, leaks), and one aspect of the job was going to cost more than expected, he tried to balance that out with parts of the overall job that could be less expensive than originally expected. My once dumpy property is now spectacular. Working with Zeringue's was memorable, delightful, exciting, and I'm looking forward to doing more improvements to the property with them.
