"Dear Mrs. Evelyn S: I believe there might be some confusion in regards to your bathroom renovation. Your contract was written very clearly for you to understand on what will be done workwise and what is covered in regards of materials. You signed the contract and you do have a copy of it. As a matter of fact, 2 change orders were issued, which you also agreed upon and signed. I personally went to the store with you for you to pick out everything for your bathroom that was listed in our contract. That the chrome pieces in your tub don?t match is not our fault they came with the tub (overflow and drain). Your husband came to the house and we showed him a stopper that he could purchase afterwards and put in himself. We are not Designers. We install what the customer choses. We also added a custom chair rail and didn?t even charge you for that. We also installed towel holder and paper holder with no extra charge as well as extended the scope of work on the closet, because you changed your mind on what you wanted. This is all uncharged labor cost to us. You were home every single day the project was going on and we were in constant communication with you throughout. Before we even started tiling, we told you numerous times (3 times to be specific) that you purchased FLOOR TILE and that they do not make bullnoses for these tiles and told you how it would look without bullnose around, but you wanted that specific look and didn?t change your tile selection. We held the tiles to the wall to give you a visual and suggested for you to get a ½? flat border tile to give it a more dressed up look overall. You never got the border tile and actually told us ?that we deal with it later?. We had no idea that you would not know what we were referring to, because you never asked or told us and didn?t mention anything to us when we started tiling. You also never purchased the shelves for us to put in and didn?t even mention anything to us about them after we finished our work, so our assumption was that you changed your mind and didn?t want them. You were supposed to purchase the shelves online, because the shelves you chose are not available in stores. We also specifically prepped the wall behind the toilet so it would support any kind of shelving solution you pick out to be installed. The ¾? grouted gap between the tub and the tile is due to the fact that your existing walls are not square and the gap would have either been there or on the other side. You cannot cut a tile to ¼? ? 3/16? because it would break while cutting it. We are more than willing to come back and install some white ¾? corner round trim around the bottom of the tub. Our contract clearly states that with receipt of the final payment our contract is considered finished. If you had any problems whatsoever we feel you should have mentioned that to us. Never once did you let us know that you are not satisfied with any part of the renovation. As a matter of fact, after we finished,"
"Dear Ms. C. [Consumer name withheld at their request], I am a little taken aback being contact today, April 18, 2018, by HomeAdvisor and learn that you changed your former satisfied review to being not satisfied at all. We finished work in your house on October 20th , 2017. We contacted you on October 31st, 2017 and checked if everything was in working order and asked if you would like to leave a review. You did so on November 10th, 2017. It was a nice review, because you were satisfied. In your recent review from April 18th, 2018, you stated that you cannot get in touch with us, but you need help because the water heater was not hooked up to your kitchen sink. We just went thru all our telephone records and emails. You NEVER called us, left a voice message, a text message or an email, therefore we did not know that there was a problem at all. We worked in your house for over 2 months, and did some major renovation. Do you really expect us not to return any of your attempts to contact us for something minor like a not connected waterline? Now, 6 month after the work was completed to satisfaction, you decide that you cannot reach us? Our email has not changed, our telephone number has not changed and the contract even has our business address on it for you send us a letter. However, after receiving your unexpected complaint today, I did contact you immediately as well as my subcontractor, who is the state licensed plumber that did the work, to get your hot waterline hooked up. I even send you his contact information, so you can contact him yourself if you feel like it. In closing I would like to say that I am very sorry that you feel that the only way to get in contact with us is by giving a bad review but be assured that we do stand by our word and will make this right for you. I also would like to mention that I am not very happy with HomeAdvisor at all. Reviews are being changed without the contractor even having a chance to correct a possible problem. HomeAdvisor tends to the customer but not the contractor at all. Customers are being contacted and after verification reviews are posted and only one review will be posted, overriding older reviews. HomeAdvisor does NOT contact the contractor to get their side of the story. HomeAdvisor is a paid service for the contractor, but we cannot get the same treatment customers receive, like a call back on verification for instance. Update 5/5/18: The customer was contacted immediately, a appointment was made and the hot waterline now works. We also made a personal phone call to customer and checked if everything is in working order which it is. MS"
"Dear Mrs. Cheryl O., We are very sorry to hear that you feel that we did not satisfy your needs on your project. I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the facts on what actually transpired. - You called on Friday in desperate need of a contractor that was willing to come to your house on Saturday morning to remove a sink and a gas stove top so your countertop contractor can install the countertops. After that contractor was finished we were supposed to return to reinstall a sink and gas stove top. There was no mention of a wall oven or even hood, because these appliances have nothing to do with your countertops. - This was a simple scope of work and we came to your residence at 6am on Saturday morning. - After assessing the work site, it became very quickly apparent why no other contractor was willing to perform such minor task. - We contemplated ourselves on taking on the task due to the extreme unsanitary and hazardous conditions, which we felt post an immediate health and safety risk. - Robert informed you that because this was a rush job on the weekend and taken in consideration the job site conditions that the set price was at $900.00. It was treated as time & material job with having 2 men and a supervisor on site. You agreed upon the price and we started removing both appliances. This was also a handshake transaction and no contract was written at this time, because neither side felt it was necessary. The contract was issued at a later date. - We returned to your residence to reinstall the appliances. The sink fit right in and was connected, but there was an apparent mismeasurement on the countertops to properly fit the gas stove top. - We informed you to contact us when the countertop contractor was done fixing the problem. - You did not contact us for days. - After making multiple trips to your house do to the countertop still not cut to the correct measurement, we were finally able finished the work and you seemed very happy and everything was in working order and therefore we considered the job to be done, since you signed off on the contract that since had been issued. Again, I am very sorry that you feel we cheated you, but it seems to me that there might be a personal problem with you and Robert or our company in general, even though we never met personally or have done any work for you in the past. Your accusations of theft have no merit, since we never went in your yard, you were present at all times while work was performed and there were other contractors on your property. Even though we try our hardest to satisfy all of our customers by going above and beyond, it is not always possible to please everybody, especially if there is an underlying problem which we are not aware of. All our efforts to resolve the problem were not fruitful because of you threatening Robert to sue for harassment if he keeps calling you. Please contact me personally at 504-541-8643 to discuss further actio"
