"I was bitten by a brown recluse and heard about Greenix being pet friendly. They came out the next day and I’ve never regretted it! Not only did they get rid of my spider issue but they helped me learn the do’s and dont’s to keep the spiders out. Their techs are all so knowledgeable and I truly appreciate that. I also like that if I see a spider I can call them and they will come out ASAP. I honestly will not go to anyone else for pest control. "Ryan (the owner) gave me a very fair estimate to treat my entire house for termites. He and his employee Steve did an excellent job and actually showed me the chemical they were using along with the chemical information before treating my home. They drilled and treated every room in my house including the sun room along with the garage and porch. They also trenched the exterior perimeter of my house and treated it with the highest quality chemical on the market. Integrity Termite and Pest Control go the extra mile, they are very honest and knowledgeable, and are far superior than the other local termite companies that I got estimates from. Integrity Termite and Pest Control gave me a 5 year warranty unlike the rest of the companies I contacted which were only 1 year. The other companies did not want to drill and treat the entire house like the label said on the chemical. If you want an honest and reputable Termite and Pest Control company I would definitely recommend Integrity Termite and Pest Control. They are the best in my opinion."

You're more likely to find a hobo spider outside rather than inside your home. If you do find one in your home, don't panic. You can remove the spider by catching it in a glass or cup and transporting it outside. You may also vacuum up the spider and remove it by emptying the vacuum bag. 

If you notice more than one spider, it may be a good idea to hire a local pest control company to check out the situation and recommend a course of action. 

You can easily find sprays that claim they are safe for pets and kids. However, we’d rather not use them in our own homes if we’re worried about pet safety: They still include pesticides and other chemicals, and are best avoided in any food prep areas like the kitchen, or any spots where children and pets may place. That’s why sprays didn’t end up in our suggestions for the safest options.

Ticks are most commonly found behind (or even inside) ears, behind knees, in belly buttons, in the hair, and in your underarms. If you find a tick on your body or on your pet, use a pair of clean tweezers to grab the tick as close to the surface of your skin as possible. If you simply yank or twist it, you can leave the tick’s mouth parts lodged in your skin and will need to remove those carefully with the tweezers. 

Once you have removed the tick, flush it down the toilet and wash your skin with rubbing alcohol or soap and water. Know the signs of lyme disease such as fever, chills, headache, muscle aches, and a rash.

Fleas are master hiders, so they’re always looking for safe spots. In addition to living directly on your pets, they’re likely to hide in bedding materials, not unlike the infamous bed bugs. They also like carpet and thick grass, for similar reasons. They’re more likely to hang around dirt and debris in general, which is why it’s important to keep the home clean. 

Scorpions can climb walls with rough surfaces (like stucco siding). They need something to grip onto, which is why they can easily climb on clothes, comforters on beds, and other items in your home.

However, it’s worth noting that scorpions cannot climb clean glass. So if you have a hole or damaged area where scorpions are coming in, a temporary fix may be to secure a piece of glass over the area.
