They were great, they showed up on time, did a complete exterior and interior inspection, and located areas that the mice might be coming in. The serviceman was very helpful in providing solutions to stopping the mice from coming in, and did the necessary fixes to the suspected entry points. They then placed poison bait stations around the basement area where they had been inhabiting. Within several weeks we started seeing less and less of them, and after a month, as far as we could tell they were all gone. We signed up on a yearly maintenance plan where they checked the bait stations and also sprayed for any insects that were spotted. We were happy with their service until today, when a new employee of theirs showed up and after he left, my wife discovered money missing from her purse and her mother noticed a pile of quarters gone out of her change jar. It was very disheartening to have to report this to the office of Guarantee Pest Control, who were of course shocked. I just want to say that of course there is no way to prove their employee did this, but money was missing, and he was the only stranger in our house this morning.

Steve was great.  He came in the morning at his appointed time but movers were here unloading the truck.  He offered to come back at 3:00 pm.  I could have set my watch by him!  Promptly at 3:00 pm the bell rang.  Because of the disarry of the house, he only sprayed the outside.  I had requested quarterly treatments so HOPEFULLY next time he will be able to spray the garage, just for my peace of mind!  :-)  Steve gave me his work mobile number and told me to call if there were any issues before the next quarterly treatment.  I really appreciated that!  I look forward to having Steve perform the quarterly treatments as I felt I could trust him to do the job right!

I found some insects that looked like winged ants, but were a little different. I searched the internet and they looked like the termites pictured on the web site. I talked to a relative that had retired from pest control, and he verified I had termites. The winged ant type were called swarmers, the others I saw were soldiers, the workers were probably in the ground as this was a concrete floor of a downstairs bedroom. My relative recommended Guarantee Pest Control out of Lexington, KY.
They are a family owned business and have carried on the business 3 or more generations, which tells me they are very qualifed at their work. The next day I called Guarantee Pest Control and scheduled an appointment for an inspection and quote. Guarantee Pest Control came as scheduled and verified my winged ants were termites. He checked the wall where I spotted the terminates and it was good. He then wrote a quote of all work to be done, the type of chemical used, and the cost of treatment and labor.
Guarantee Pest Control would treat with a chemical known as Termidor (known to be an effective termite exterminator/repellant). They would pull back the carpet in the bedroom where the termites were discovered and drill 3 holes 12 inches apart at the location and pump Termidor into each hole, plug the hole, then seal with patching material, and put the carpet back in place.
They would go into the crawl space and treat the ground at the foundation, and re-treat the holes drilled into the concrete block foundation that my relative had done 25 years ago when he was in business. Then Guarantee Pest Control would treat the outside perimeter by digging a trench around the entire house (except for the driveway and patio) and putting down a stream of Termidor and inserting the rod to pump chemicals into the ground at 12 inch intervals. The driveway and concrete patio would be drilled at 12 inch intervals and Termidor pumped into the holes, the holes plugged, then sealed with a patching compound.
The quote included all the above for $900.00. I talked to my relative again and decided to get Guarantee Pest Control to exterminate the termites in my house. They scheduled Wednesday, March 20, 2013 as the day for the treatment. The technician arrived early, was very courteous and friendly, and was very thorough with the job. He worked all day and did everything written in the quote. He did a great job, and the price was good. I saw a few termites a couple days later, but that was to be expected as Termidor is a time-release chemical. The swarmers and soldier termites are contaminated with Termidor and carry the chemical back into the nest where it can elliminate the workers and the queen as well.
I believe Guarantee Pest Control is a very honest and reputable company and would recommend them to anyone with a bug problem. They are very courteous, knowledgeable, and cheaper than some of the other companies. Also; they will do a follow up the next year.

They come out when they say they would; they are prompt; they do the work; and they seem to be effective. If I have any problem, they will come out above the normal service.

The came out the same afternoon we requested a quote. After agreeing to the service, they did it about a week later. They took several hours to finish the work, but were prompt and did a good job.

They come every year. They do a thorough job. We spend $100 every year. We are not around when they come out. They schedule the time and usually arrive before the scheduled time. We have no problems with the bugs. We will continue to use them again in the future.

This company has provided my termite service for over twenty years. They have been very responsive to problems, and stood behind their guarantee when damage did occur.
