Fiberglass pool installation and service is where our knowledge and experience begins. My partner and I have been working on our own for a few months now, but have well over 8 years of experience within the pool industry. We offer seasonal pool opening and closings, upgrading of pool systems and additional weekly and bi-weekly services. We also have experience with other seasonal services such as gutter cleanings, pressure washing, snow/ ice removal, landscaping and lawn mowing. We look forward to building meaningful relationships with each of our customers and hope to become your year around outdoor handymen.

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

There is no hard and fast rule about using a snowblower on a specific amount of inches, but most snow removal experts suggest using one on 2 or more inches of snow for best results. This will also depend on what type of surface you’re working on and whether the snow is dry or wet.

When starting the engine, you typically leave the choke on a snowblower in the "choke" or "closed" position. After starting, let the engine run for a few minutes to warm up. Then, gradually open the choke, moving it to the "open" or "run" position, allowing more air into the engine and transitioning to a normal fuel-air mixture. The exact duration varies based on the snowblower model and ambient temperature, but as a general rule, you should open the choke once the engine has stabilized and runs smoothly, typically within a few minutes.

Services include plowing, shoveling, salting, and de-icing for parking lots, walkways, and entrances.

The easiest way to remove snow from a roof involves using a roof rake that allows you to clear snow from the ground. Roof rakes are lightweight and feature adjustable handles, making them user-friendly for most people. This method also helps prevent ice dams and excess snow buildup, reducing the risk of roof damage during winter months.

When should you remove snow from your roof? A good rule of thumb is once six inches of snow accumulates.

Ice dam removal is costly, but it’s absolutely worth it. If you leave an ice dam as is and don’t take care of it, you’re looking at potentially dangerous situations and high-cost repairs—like roof collapse, leaks, mold problems, gutter damage, and more. Removing ice dams is essential to keeping your home and your family safe in the snowy season.
