appointment to have them come clean the windows.
Three workers showed up at the promised time. The two inside immediately took off their boots before coming into the house past the front door. Good sign! They went to work immediately, moving furniture with care and caution. The work was done quickly, removing probably 10 years worth of grime.
My only negative comment is that the lower corners of some of the windows were still a little smudged. In their favor, definitely, one of the guys washed the skylights over the hot tub in the back. That was totally unexpected.
I will call them again next year and I hope they have another coupon on Angie's List.
"First of all, we want to apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred between our company and this customer. We also apologize for the delay in responding, and it was never our intention to do so, but we had a very serious family emergency that took weeks to get through. We do feel that it is extremely important to be respectful and professional to each of our customers and our employees try with great effort to fulfill that. Please let us reply to his comments. As a courtesy to our customers, it is our office policy to call, email or text our customers the day before their appointment to confirm. We contacted Mrs. [remove member name] the day before and confirmed our scheduled appointment time that we would arrive between 12:30-2:00 p.m. Our crew arrived at 12:40 p.m. They arrived within the window of time that was scheduled. When the crew arrived , they went to the back of the house to look at an area [remove member name]had asked us to estimate, to either hand wash or pressure wash, and to see what size extension ladder they would need for the job. They were on the back deck looking above the glass sliding doors at the mildew on the siding and [remove member name]came out. They were not peeking in the windows. The crew leader introduced himself and explained to Mr. [remove member name] that he was doing the pressure washing estimate and also told him that the other guys would go get their equipment from the van and come in the front door and get started. He said that was okay. So the guys went and got their equipment and started working. They had been working a short while, maybe 5 minutes or so , when Mr. [remove member name] said he needed to run an errand and he assured them that he would be gone for no more that 30 minutes. He left at around 12:50 and returned at around 2:05 or was gone 1 ¼ hour. He never said that he was upset by anything that had taken place up to that point and left the men working alone in his house. The crew leader explained to him that they would only be there for more or less 1 hr. from the start to the finish of the job. When they had 10-15 minutes left on the job, which was around 1:20-1:25 p.m and saw that he was not back yet , the crew leader called Mr. [remove member name] to let him know that they had 10- 15 minutes left. He said ok, but when they were finished, he still was not back. The job took them approximately 50 minutes for three men from around 12:45-1:35 p.m. So Mr. [remove member name] was called a second time and it was explained to him that they needed to leave, that they were finished. They had 2 more jobs to do. He told the crew leader that he was having lunch and didn’t say how much longer he would be, which seemed to insinuate that they would just have to wait until he got finished. So the crew leader told him if they had to continue waiting, he would have to charge $25 more for the crew just sitting there and he said just do whatever you have to do. Even though they had to get to another job, they still waited another 20 minutes, but then decided they would have to leave. When the crew started driving down the road at around 2:00, they passed Mr.[remove member name] and he waved at them indicating that he saw them , so they went back to the house so he could look over the work and that they could be paid for the services rendered. The crew leader then went into the house to get the check and told Mr. [remove member name] he did not have to pay the $25, just give us the original price for the work, which was $240, but Mr. [remove member name] insisted on paying the $25 extra. So the crew leader thanked him , took the check and they left."
