open style recreation room. We needed to add a bedroom and a full bath and put a drywall ceiling in. I had used BTS Contracting several years ago to add a composite deck to my old house and was thrilled with the work so I called Bob again to get a bid for this job. I contacted Bob and told him what we wanted to do and we scheduled a day for him to come out to the house. As we walked through and told him what we wanted he was making notes and giving us his ideas along the way. There is not a lot of space in the basement. We wanted to have a livable bedroom for an older teenager but still have a separate room for a couch, TV and chair. He gave ideas on where we could save space and how to arrange the layout to afford us the most living space. The bathroom added a level of difficulty to the job because the half bath rough in was not where we wanted it. Therefore, concrete had to be torn up and the drain for the toilet moved. In addition, we wanted to add a larger capacity water heater to accommodate the extra people who would now be living there. Bob made his notes and stated he would get together some ideas and get back to us. Within a couple days Bob contacted me and said he was ready to meet to go over his estimate. He came back to the house and had several computer sketches of what he thought would give us the most room. He also had an estimate which included the aforementioned work and also replacing the windows. The windows that were previously installed were single pane and very drafty. They were adequate for a rec room but not so much for actual living space. After some very minor changes, we were satisfied with the ideas and the estimate and approved the work to be completed. As luck would have it, he had some space between jobs where his crew was able to get started fairly quickly. On the day work was to begin, Bob and his crew (Chris and John) arrived on time. They began their work after some brief introductions. Chris has been with him for several years and seems to be Bob?s right hand man so I was familiar with him but I did not know John. All were respectful and easy going. The first several days were mostly demolition. After that they moved towards the bathroom and moving the toilet. The new bathroom was going to be located in what was currently storage. They hung plastic around all of the items and any entrances into the other parts of the house. While it wasn?t exactly sealed, it did provide protection from the major part of the concrete dust. As I stated earlier, the moving of the toilet required them to dig through the foundation. The trench ran for about 10-12 feet in total. The plumbing was laid and was re-concreted over. The bedroom and TV room were simple enough and there was nothing overly extravagant about their construction. The bedroom was pretty straight forward; 4 walls with a full size closet with sliding doors. The TV room was the same but with an alcove instead of a closet. Chris ran most of the electric and the cable. Cable was run into 3 different locations; one into the bedroom and 2 into the TV room. Since we were not certain which wall the TV was going to be on they ran connections down both walls for us. We had made most of our requests in the bathroom. We wanted ceramic tile floor and a tile stand up shower. Allowances for tile, vanity, etc. were all built in to the estimate. The allowances were generous enough to give us a wide range of choices. We simply choose what we wanted and gave the list to Bob who picked it up. We gave Bob a layout of the pattern we wanted in the shower and he gave suggestions on how to tie the whole room together with the tile. We also wanted the floor tile to be on a 45 degree angle. This is where the attention to detail was going to show and he nailed it. The tile work in the bathroom was exactly what we were envisioning and then some. Not to take away from the rest of the job but this turned out to be the most impressive part of the completed project. As with any project like this, we did run into a couple issues. As the project went on, we changed a few things mid-stream. The change requests were taken in stride without issue. The shower door had some manufacturing defects. There were some sealant issues and it was not aesthetically pleasing. Bob noticed it and notified me by phone. Since it was going to be some time before the new door arrived, he went ahead and installed the door but ordered a new one so the shower could be used. Once the new one came in he returned and replaced the door. Another issue was with the new window in the bedroom. This one was a little more difficult to troubleshoot but he and Chris solved the problem quickly. This was the second time I had hired BTS Contracting. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and would hire them again for my next project. Bob and Chris did the majority of the work. They were friendly, helpful and accommodating to our requests for change. Their experience shows through their quality work and attention to detail "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/oh/amelia/bts-contracting-inc-reviews-5460051.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Cincinnati Home Theaters","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"KY","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Kyle D."},"reviewBody":"My review is very mixed. I had things that went well and some that did not. My pursuit of upgrading my entertainment center started by calling a different company and had a very poor interaction and recommends. Then I called Chris. He was very accommodating coming to my house at ~ 7:30 to assess and give estimate and appear much more knowledgeable the first interaction. Being very impressed, we penciled in a date for the install with the agreement that he was to email an official estimate with specific equipment in the next couple days. However, communications became poor after this. After several delays, I emailed and put the install on hold because of the lack of official estimate. I had to go to his shop to get an estimate and get it moving again. This should have for shadowed what was to come but I had a deadline. Install: Three people was present for the install. All three were well dressed and courteous. Because there was 3 existing in wall speaker, only one wire run had to be ran. This was a difficult run and they worked hard to not make an additional hole and make a clean install. For the other existing speakers, the wire in the wall is a 22 gauge by 6 wires. They were supposed to optimize the connect by wiring 3 wires for positive and 3 for negative to minimize the resistance(reduces the reduces resistance by 60%) but this did not happen. One of the existing speakers was to be moved from 7 feet high to 4 feet high and patch the wall. They did drop it but had to return a different day because they did not bring the correct equipment. They also did not have there own ladders but I was fine with them using mine. They installed the receiver in a cabinet and connect it to the other AV equipment (Blu-ray, Direct TV, TV) with a IR repeater. They briefly went through the calibration and demonstration.
Experience: They they left, I start to watch a movie on Direct TV. First, I noted sounded very sub par for $4500. First, I noted the calibration was WAY off, I was not getting surround sound from my DirectTV, my internet connection did not work to the receiver, and the IR connect to the Blu-ray player did not work. First, I changed the setting the direct TV box to have it send Dolby surround to the receiver. Second, I had to calibrate the Receiver. Their calibration was: SW +2, FL +1.5, C +2, FR +1.5, RR 0,RL +2. I worked on it and got it closer but still was not happy. My receiver has self calibrating mic (which they told me did not work very well) but I was despite so I gave it a try. It was significantly better then their 2 second calibration and got it very close (I only had to make a slight change to the sub woofer to get it perfect). The final calibration was: SW -2, FL +2, C 0, FR +1.5, RR 10, RL 10 with the distance also calibrated (not attempted by CHT). They returned to patch the dry wall. I was not there at the time but is was a terrible job. They took a piece of dry wall and cut a rectangle to fill the spot. This was correct but they put mud over the entire rectangle to the extent the entire patch, not just the seams, had to be sanded down. It was a very armature job. At this return they were supposed to fix the IR to the Blu ray and they did not so I had to do this. After I was finished the system sounds great but I had to spend an additional 6 hours to get it correct and sounded great. I noted after having it on for multiple hours it became so hot I could not keep my hand on the top. I emailed Denon for the recommended air space. It was installed with 4" of air space and the MINIMUM is 8"! Sub optimal instillation is one thing, incorrect installation is another. This heat and lack of air flow would have damaged the receiver and shortened it lifespan. In my option, with a professional install company, this should never happen. In addition, there should be a complete system check and calibration prior to leaving. My first experience was not perfect: I had a poorly working car seat, and the mechanic replaced the wrong one! However, because the one they replaced wasn't working great either, I asked if they could make a deal with me. They compromised and gave me a discount on the seat they replaced plus the repair of the original seat I had asked for. So, I gave them another try, and I've continued to go back. Most recently, I went in when they sent me a 10% off coupon, because I needed the rear defroster repaired. It was supposed to be an entire window replacement at a couple hundred dollars. However, the installer wanted to try a rear defroster kit which he had, and it worked, saving me big bucks! Pros: * They picked me up from my home to take me back to the shop when my car was finished. * They dropped me off and picked me up from a local restaurant when I had to wait for several hours. * They are always highly competitive in price. * They appear to be honest, and integrity is everything. * They let me know when there are low-cost alternatives, like purchasing a used seat from a salvage yard. * They use modern technology, like texting and email. * They are highly professional. * Flat-screen TV in waiting room. Cons: Waiting room and toilet need upgrade. Some of the guys smoke, so it smells smokey in waiting room. On January 10, 2014 the NAV TV module was installed in my truck. Upon paying the business and going outside so the installer could show me how it worked, I was told at that time only that the NAV TV module would not enable me to use the front camera at all. On January 11, 2014 I sent Rick Puthoff, the owner of the company and person who sold me the NAV TV module an email stating that the product was not only not working as promised but that it was not functioning properly. On the same day, Rick replied that he would look inot it and that he had over-charged me by $100 to begin with. On January 16, 2014 I still had not heard back from Rick. I also sent him an email at this time to tell him that the NAV TV module was coming on intermittently and that I was unable to turn it off or override it. On January 16, 2014 I also offered to Rick that he uninstall the NAV TV module and return it and install some custom lighting that I had in return. I noted that I would pay for the labor for the original NAV TV install as well as for the labor to install the custom lighting that I had already purchased. Having not heard back from Rick yet I called him on January 22, 2014 only to be told that he was busy and still looking into it. Rick implied at that time that he would see about getting the NAV TV fixed but that the installation and un-installation costs were mine to bear. I decided at that time that due to the fact that the NAV TV would not perform as I originally was promised that I did not want the product any longer. On February 3, 2014 I scheduled an appointment to have the NAV TV module removed and the custom lighting installed. I arrived for my appointment and was told that due to several employees not coming to work they could uninstall the NAV TV but could not install the custom lighting for me. Once the NAV TV unit was uninstalled I offered to pay for the labor involved and was specifically told by the Eclipse representative that I would not have to pay for it and that the NAV TV unit was defective and would be returned. On February 6, 2014 I sent Rick an email noting that I had the NAV TV unit uninstalled on the 3rd and that I would like a refund. On February 7, 2014 Rick replied that NAV TV does not return installed NAV TV units and that while they would try to get a return authorization for the product that I should not expect a refund. Rick noted that his vendors dictate how he does business and that a refund or even partial credit would take weeks if not months to get; he also acknowledged that he owed me for the $100 overcharge in his reply. On Februiary 7, 2014 I replied to Rick to point out that not only did the NAV TV product not function as he promised but that it was defective and for those two reasons I wanted a full refund. I told Rick in my reply that I expected a full refund or would dispute what he had charged me. Rick's reply on the same day was that "you are welcome to dispute it" and that a new NAV TV (which would still not perform as I requested it originally) or partial credit was all that I was due. He also noted that special order items are not returnable even though he had not indicated the product as special order or his return policy in any manner since the beginning. Simply put, Rick sold me an apple under the premise that it was an orange. When I tried to return the apple he said sorry "we don't accept apple returns and even if we did you still have to pay us for the costs of growing it. Rick, as the owner of the business made it clear to me that he was in it for the money and not for the customers. I will not due business with Eclipse again. I decided that getting rid of Satellite TV at over $100/month was a good starting point. I joined Angie's list and started researching TV Antenna's and the AntennaCowboy had good reviews and a great policy. He was willing to mount the TV antenna temporarily and connect the TV's so I could get an appreciation of the picture quality. If I did not like the picture quality, he would remove the TV Antenna and there would be no charge for the service. The cost to install the TV Antenna was $299 and $50 for the signal booster. I called the AntennaCowboy and he got back to me the next day and we schedule an appointment that Saturday. He arrived on-time and we reviewed the number of TV's and the location to mount the TV Antenna. He remove the satellite dish and mounted the TV antenna on their pole and used the existing outside outlets to connect the TV Antenna. Because of the length of the run, we decided to add a signal booster that improved the picture quality on my main TV. We checked that all the TV's had a good picture quality and were receiving the local over the air stations. I was very pleased with the quality and professionalism of his work and highly recommend him to install your TV Antenna. He did a fantastic job with hanging our 85? TV. He came with all the required tools and even vacuumed up/took out the trash for me. Would absolutely use Baxter Home Solutions again without a doubt!!
Understood the wiring where this is a junction point for other lights/outlets in the room. Completed it quickly. Also removed flat screen tv from wall. (My husband and I could not figure out how to remove it.) Very satisfied. Will call in the future if needing an electrician.

FAQs for tv antenna equipment service projects in Lakeside Park, KY
If your TV antenna is good quality and was installed by a professional, you can expect it to last between 10 and 20 years without needing repair or replacement. This can vary based on your geographic location, weather conditions, and antenna location.
TV antennas should be replaced if it’s been bent or physically damaged. It is possible that these can still be repaired. However, the repair won’t be as superior as a repair on a non-damaged antenna. Since repairing an antenna is typically less expensive than replacing it by at least $100, it’s worth trying to save your existing one if possible.
Before investing in a TV antenna repair, there are a few steps you can take to help boost your signal quality. Removing obstacles like tree branches can help improve your signal strength. Along the same line, moving an indoor antenna away from obstacles can also help. These should be near a window, as high as possible. If these steps don’t work, speak with a TV antenna technician about a signal amplifier to help boost your signal even further.
The cost to repair your TV antenna is around $200 for the average homeowner. However, charges could be as low as $60 or as high as $450. Factors such as multidirectional or unidirectional, indoor or outdoor, and amplified or non-amplified all play an essential role in determining the cost of your repair. For example, outdoor antennas cost more on average to repair than indoor ones, much like amplified antennas cost more to repair than unamplified ones.
Before your TV antenna stops working, there are a few ways to tell it’s starting to break. Some common signs that your antenna needs repair include:
A repetitive “no signal” issue
A redundant “searching” issue
Increased signal issues during a cloudy or rainy day
A sudden drop in signal strength, regardless of the weather
If you’re experiencing these problems, you’ll want to ensure that your cables are still in good shape and have not deteriorated. In addition, check to make sure that your cables are firmly in place at the wall outlet. Finally, check the position of your antenna to ensure there are no obstructions in its path. If you’ve checked your antenna thoroughly and are still having these problems, a repair is most likely needed by an antenna technician.
