We were looking for a good reputable company since we were purchasing an older home and our offer was contingent upon inspection. The first night we stay in our home, we heard a critter in the attic. Day 2 I called a pest control company to come investigate. The gentleman came down from our attic and immediately ask if we had inspection and raised his eyebrow when I replied yes. The attached is a picture of the mass of garbage that was in our attic. I made a call to Curtis to discuss and ask for the video clips of our inspection that is advertised on the company website and to make this short I never received the clip because they didn't deem it necessary as said by Curtis wife Diane. Being the child of a business owner in the same industry I was taught it is not about the mistake but how you handle the mistake. Curtis did not handle the 8k mistake made. Had we had been aware of the attic our offer would have change or requested the fix. BEWARE of this compan

Many of the items did not have access to power therefore I know for a fact they were not physically checked, but marked as perfectly sound on the inspection sheet. My favorite thing about the report is that I can create a repair list that gets emailed to my realtor which she can forward to the seller of what repairs I would like to see happen. Carlo the inspector is a great guy, communicates well and does great work. I will definitely use him again when buying a house

"The first home was in very good condition on the surface. Mary Anne performed a thorough inspection and walked us through it, explaining that all inspections find issues and those issues shouldn't prevent us from buying the house. She compared it to finding a spouse, if you knew everything about them from the start, you probably would have run away -- not necessarily a good thing. That said, this very pretty house had some structural issues we hadn't been aware of that involved us walking away from the house. Our second inspection likewise found issues, some of which we got fixed on a repair request, some we fixed after purchasing, and some we still haven't fixed. Mary Anne was always prompt, inspections were thorough, and she walked us through many questions in great detail and patience. She also walked us through questions on the phone we didn't think to ask at the time. As a first time homebuyer, I learned a lot from her. I would strongly recommend her whenever you want a thorough report. If you want a quick report, she's probably not the best.

"I can’t say enough about Highland’s work. They did a tremendous job. We had had a problem for years with water in the basement and the resultant mold. A salesman was let go so I had to make several calls before I found his replacement to get the second part of my job completed. They left a pretty big mess at my home as well as denting my water heater.
