"Excellent work. Inspection occurred in a timely manner and the inspection was thorough. Following the inspection, Ken went through his findings and the findings from others on his team. They made sure I understood those findings and helped me prioritize the work. Although I do not have the level of knowledge regarding home inspections and repairs, Ken and his team spent the time I needed so I came away with a true understanding of the inspection and inspection results. This was critical for me as I worked to finalize an agreement with the property seller so our agreement was transparent and equitable. I will definitely seek out his help in the future."

"They did a comprehensive inspection of the old roof externally and internally, pointing out all the problem areas, something the other contractors I tried did not do as thoroughly (attic is not completely open). The roof was completed in a day and no debris was left behind."

"AAA was able to safely remove the wall boards in one day ratherather than two. Better price than the competition and the on site foreman was competent, knowledgeable, and pleasant. When there was a question about some flooring tested, they retested at no additional charge to me. If we have more areas in this old home that need abatement, AAA will be at the top of my list."

"Erie Homes completed a basement waterproofing for us on 11/20/23. We were impressed and pleased by the professionalism and communication at every phase of the project. Brandon expertly explained the Erie Homes waterproofing system, sump pumps, materials, and warranty and provided us with a quote and pricing details. Having being burned by projects in the past, we came back with a long list of questions and conditions. Brandon answered every single one, made sure that we were completely satisfied with the terms, and added our notes to the contract. Project manager Gage and the team that came to our home was quick and professional. They periodically filled us in on the progress and communicated any changes or concerns. When the project was completed, they walked us through and made sure we were happy with the work before leaving. Since finishing, we have had several rainy weeks and a completely dry basement. Based on the product, work, and customer service, we will be highly recommending Erie Homes to anyone needing basement or waterproofing work."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Solar panel inspection costs range between $150 and $350. The system's location can increase the cost, with roof-mounted panels being among the more expensive systems to inspect. Larger systems also cost more because of the time it takes to complete the inspection. Other factors affecting the price include the inverter type, objects around the system, and add-ons you purchase along with the inspection.

A septic system inspection costs $100 to $200. Doing so can spot issues early so you can plan for necessary repairs ahead of time and save yourself the issue of a backed-up septic tank. Some septic tank repair professionals do an inspection as part of their yearly maintenance on your septic tank if you choose to pay for that service, but you should shoot to have a septic system inspection completed at least once every two to five years.

Yes, new home building inspections are just as important as inspecting older homes. They provide buyers with the chance to catch mistakes, like improper grading or faulty wiring, before they turn into problems. A new home inspection costs about the same as a standard inspection, typically between $280 and $400.

A standard roof inspection typically takes one to two hours. The exact duration can vary, ranging from as little as 30 minutes to as long as four hours, depending on several factors. These include the roof's size, complexity, condition, and accessibility. Inspections for very large homes or those with extensive damage will take longer. It's a good practice to ask for a time estimate when you hire an inspector to ensure enough time is allotted for a thorough evaluation.

You might consider demolishing a house if it has a faulty foundation, widespread mold or pest damage, or other significant issues. Older homes with outdated wiring systems or dangerous materials could also be good candidates for demolition. Or, if you’re planning to remodel the entire home, you might find that it’s more cost-effective to tear it all down and start from scratch.
