Coming from out of town I had to not only find a home quickly, but also be able to get a good home inspection done in a very short period of time before leaving town again. I happened to be referred to HomeTeam by my realtor which turned out to be the most important thing our realtor did for us. HomeTeam was able to not only work me into their schedule while I was still in town (so I could be there for the inspection), but they did a TOP NOTCH job on the inspection! They were there at the scheduled time and hit the ground running. This is our sixth relocation in just 15 years so with each home we buy we dig deeper and ask more questions to the inspectors. They were very happy to take as much time as we needed to get questions answered, help us understand what is typical in construction for the local area, explain certain nuances of the home, and give helpful hints on what normal maintenance would be normal for the Louisville area. Their report was very thorough, pictures with arrows to point out problem areas, and the use of a drone to get detailed views of a very steep roof was something I was not expecting. Not only was the work completed tremendous, but it was completed by veterans at a very competitive cost!

Inspection was fine; however my primary concern is that this company releases (likely sells) your information to 3rd parties like ADT. I submitted negative feedback in their system and was contacted by Mr. O'Rear on this issue. He claims they do not provide personal information to 3rd parties unless you consent. That is not true - their consent is opt-out meaning that they provide this information unless you specifically inform them not to do so. He is likely making considerable commission on this deceptive practice while abusing customer information.

Mike Dreyer performed the main inspection and was extremely professional and knowledgeable.  The experience I had with HomeTeam was light years ahead  of what I had in my first home buying experience 10 years ago, and I highly recommend asking for Mike.  I felt like everything that could be evaluated was covered and I got all the necessary information to make an informed decision to move forward with my purchase.  Everything from scheduling to payment to report and follow-up questions was handled efficiently and speedily.

Brian and his team arrived promptly as scheduled. The team was friendly and very knowledgeable. I had previously viewed the home but had only saw a few minor issues. Mike walked me through and pointed out the concerns they had found The team took their time and didn't rush the walk through. All of my questions were answered with complete satisfaction . As promised, the full report with details and accurate pictures were delivered to my email. Two days later the follow up radon was delivered with easy to read description of the results. I'm very thankful to this team the 522.00 paid was well worth the investment I would highly recommend this team to anyone considering an inspection.

Hometeam inspected two properties during my recent home search, in the Fall of 2013 and did a reinspection to confirm the Seller repaired properly and as agreed.  At each appointment I was greeted by the ower, Brian O'Rear.  He introduced himself, informed me of the process and introduced me to the inspectors.  Each time the properties were in inspected by Mike Dreyer, a gentleman named Tommy (last name forgotten) inspected the plumbing matters.  I also had a specific HVAC inspection due to the age of the units at both properties and a pest inspection, each coordinated to inspect by Hometeam during their inspection.  
Mike and his team were very thorough, photographed everything to document their findings and typed up a detailed report.  Nothing was overlooked.  Once completing the inspection, Mike was able to go over the draft of the final findings report with me and explain everything in layperson terms.  He was able to explain and answer all questions I had and was also able to comment on how serious each finding was or wasn't.  The overall inspection and discussion probably averaged a couple of hours or more each time.  Mike and his team never rushed through their process nor did they make me feel like they were rushed when explaining things to me.  
I highly recommend using Hometeam Inspections for your next home purchase or prior to listing your property.  Because I did, I am confident in my new home purchase!

First and foremost, please keep in mind that I am new to Angies List.  Now, I have the opportunity to help other neighbors to expose the terrible financial scams of this company and Mr. Brian O'rear.  Note: The Better Business Bureau received countless evidence from me that has proven this business scammed me but refused to hold O'rear accountable.  The BBB suggest we hire an attorney.  Due to Mr. O'rear's false inspection, we hired an attorney after we moved into the house to repair the damages that Mr. O'rear's company failed to inspect.  We just did not have the funds to sue this company due to the lawsuit against the builder.  The repairs were overwhelming.  I have family in the Ohio River Valley area so I was trying to buy a home in Lagrange, KY in March 2010.  The 'seller' suggested that I try this company to inspect the house.  I contacted their office and scheduled an inspection for 14 April 2010.  The company owner (Brian O'rear) knew that I was a disabled veteran as per our initial conversation in March 2010.  He also knew I was not living in the area and was depending on his 'honesty' to perform a home inspection.  When I closed and moved into the house I was not able to climb into the attic due to the extent of my disabilities.  Therefore, Mr. O'rear knew that I was totally trusting in the photos that were given in reference to this alleged "Visual Inspection".  I tried numerous times to send a Certified Letter to their address but the company 'REFUSED' these letters and they were returned to me.  Home Team Inspection originated photos on my 'alleged' initial inspection report but refused to submit any 'originals' as proof the photos were of this house.  The photos were NOT photos of this house!  Therefore, Mr. O'rear falsified this entire home inspection by refusing to produce the originals and refusing to receive my Certified Letters.  Factually, the BBB report stated that Mr. O'rear stated he had not seen any of the photos in my home inspection.  Again, this proves that he covered up and falsified the entire home inspection and literally pocketed my $500.  I sought out another professional home inspector and he revealed many obvious home defects as stated by his inspection on 5 April 2011. Please keep in mind we just moved into a new home from another state and sought out legal counsel for the countless nightmares we sutained.  We have copies of the 'Official Building Complaint Form' that Mr. W. J. Conner (out of county Inspector) submitted for us in order to report Mr. O'rear to the state for his fraud and abuse.  This report included the following:  No underseal on the top panels of the siding, exposed seal plates, water spickets not secured, cracks in the foundation and basement walls, windows not sealed, gaps left in the drywall in garage, insulation not distributed in the attic, eaves exposed in the attic, ceiling joists out of square over the family room area, missing junction boxes in the attic, exposed wire connectors, rafter improperly secured and cut, center beam not spliced properly, kitchen sink not sealed, many windows not level, seal plate on the patio exposed under the door, cracks in the drywall around the ceiling, many door jams unlevel, spindles on stairs unsecure, tub not sealed in the basement, drywall cracked on beams, no expansion joints and cracks in slab, basement walls not sealed, exposed lip on roof vent, two gutters around the rear roof were not sealed from leaks and quite a few other defects.
 
Home Team Inspection and Mr. O'rear took advantage of me and I am positive many others that do not know who to contact.  This company has made false statements, false photos and premeditated to deceive 'this' homebuyer and I believe other  countless innocent home buyers and sellers.  I pray that other readers on Angies List will realize the time I invested to expose these terrible injustices and the theft that has taken place with Mr. Brian O'rear and the Home Team Inspection company :(.

It was great. I would highly recommend them and have recommended them to others. They were very professional and went above and beyond the call of duty. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of.

The team leader was exceptionally conscientious and helpful.  I will request him for any future work.

These guys are awesome...they were on-time...very professional and very thorough.  They explained everything to me and provided a very detailed report.  I  had mentioned a particular concern before the inspection...which wasn't included in the report...I called them...one of the guys that did the inspection made a second trip out to the house to address my specific concern and provided his opinion on it.  
They use a team approach, which I feel is awesome...it's not just one guy who's a generalist.
