"Marlon, Vlad, Bryan, Elijah and Kearis worked their butts off! Our move took place in the rain, and these poor guys were drenched and tired, but they never gave up. They pushed themselves beyond their energy levels and were wonderful to deal with. They had great manners, excellent attitudes, and solid work ethics. I would hire Moving Ahead Services again. They were--hands down--the best moving company that I have ever hired. Thanks again, Gentlemen. You have a solid leader in Marlon. Do whatever he tells you, and you will be successful."

"I want to rate them as an "A". Their price seemed very reasonable. They were really amazing, thorough and nice. They were the nicest people you'd ever meet. They were moving a lot of furniture, 2 different houses into one. They were like lightning bolts. I can't say enough how you don't know what to expect. I hadn't moved in 35 years and I had never had a professional company move. They were really good. They did us and then two days later they moved my mother in with us. I was very pleased with them. They were like a half hour early to move us, that was fine. They were just friendly and they were funny. The one guy went over and above to help get our refrigerator out and into here. They make them so big now and our house was old. He had to actually disassemble it, You don't see that a lot in moving companies, it's like "Oh sorry your problem". It was $100 to move a safe, I mean it was a huge safe and that's all they charged us. It was $100 to move Mom's piano in here and that stuff isn't easy. They acted like it was no big deal. It was what I feel was within reason. I do want to give them credit for a job well done. One guy had to leave, he had an appointment he could not miss. So at lunch time they switched out and got another guy. The next time they came back it was the same crew. They like to be consistent so they know you. I can't say enough. I would absolutely without a doubt use them again."

"They responded to my request for a quote immediately and came out for the piano move on the Sunday of 4th of July weekend no extra charge. They did an excellent job and it wasn’t easy. I would definitely hire again and highly recommend them!!"

"Overall, it went great! They brought a large crew both times (7-8 movers), all were very friendly and helpful and moved very quickly and efficiently. They were well trained and experienced moving crew. Most of the movers were involved in both moves. We had a fairly large amount of stuff, most of it was boxed ahead of time. What wasn't, they boxed it up for us. When we moved out, they sent two men back to take care of the trash, some large items, and dispose of it. They even swept out our garage. During the long storage time, Jeffers sent two men to Arhaus to pick up new furniture and add it to the storage "pile." It took them a day and a half to move out our stuff (there was an issue with one of their trucks, and we needed three truck loads. They moved everything back in in about 8 hours. Recognize that the movers had to pack trucks, then unpack them for storage. For the July 1 move-in, they packed the trucks on June 30 to move them in the next day. I believe that if they simply moved them from one house to another (3 trucks), the cost would have been much, much lower. I strongly recommend them to anyone, and have who were equally satisfied with Jeffers. They know what they are doing and move very quickly, having fun along the way. The crew treats you like you are family, and your possessions like they are theirs. Jeffers quotes you a price up front (they are not on a clock looking for extra hours) and doesn't push you if it's beyond their estimated time.

"Hiring this company saved me so much time! I moved from a condo on the ground floor to one on the 3rd floor. I tried moving some of the boxes myself and quickly realized I wouldn’t be able to move the rest myself, with the help of my friends. They were done so much faster than I would have been able to. Also I had some pretty cheap furniture (like I was worried the barstool would break is someone say on it the wrong way) and they were able to get the furniture to the new place without a scratch! The guys were so friendly and I would definitely hire them for the next time I move!"

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

When loading a moving truck, the general rule is to load the heaviest and largest items first to create a stable base at the front of the truck, which helps balance the weight. You can start with large furniture like sofas, beds, mattresses, and tables to form a solid foundation, or begin by placing your heaviest boxes against the truck's walls to create a base layer. After the base is set, continue loading other large items like appliances and square furniture. Lighter and smaller objects, including most of your boxes, should be loaded last. They can be packed into gaps, around, and on top of the heavier items to maximize space. Following this order makes unloading easier and helps prevent damage to your belongings.

No, not tipping movers isn’t considered rude. Tipping is optional, not expected. There are plenty of alternative ways to show your appreciation without tipping.

Around half of Americans hire professional movers, while the other half DIY their moves.

The first step to choosing a relocation company is determining the distance of your move, types of services needed, and how many professional movers you need to hire. Once you set the parameter of your move, get price quotes from at least three local moving companies to compare pricing. Then, choose a relocation company that fits within your budget, supplies the necessary services, and has positive reviews from previous moving customers.

Professionals can provide comprehensive planning, logistical support, packing services, and clear communication to minimize moving stress. Their experience allows for efficient handling of belongings, ensuring a seamless and organized transition to a new location.
