The move went from very good to fair to horrible. At the pick-up location (my former home) the crew was very professional and careful with my items. But I was disappointed to see a filthy Penske Rental truck rather than their own professional moving truck as advertised. The truck (10' x 26') was too small for the job. They packed it so tight there was not room for their two-wheel dolly on the inside.
I was told our household would be the only one included in the move. But that was not the case. At the destination location i learned that they added a piano and a kitchen table set for two other stops along the route. In order to make everything fit they repacked the too-small rental truck at their warehouse. The cramming process messed up lamps, bikes and shelves. They used my personal two-wheel dolly because there wasn't room enough for theirs.
The horrible part began at the destination, which was a 10' x 30' indoor storage rental. The (new) crew were not in condition to perform the move satisfactorily. They stacked furniture and items any which way directly on concrete with no pads and on top of each other without padding. The result was broken glass windows in the entertainment unit, scratched wood and leather furniture, and broken items. When the local professional movers arrived a month later to move us from the storage to our home they were shocked to see how it looked. They couldn't believe their eyes.
Then it took over three months of unanswered telephone, email messages, and aggravation to finally to receive a token compensation.

Wayne and Family moving services was recommended to me by a friend, however, I have mixed reviews on their services regarding my recent move.
The good things I noticed is that the men were very punctual and respectful and took care of my belongings. They were also very hard workers, even in the heat, they kept going- one load after another.
The things that concerned me were the fact that no carpet protection was put down unpon entering, we ended up needed another truck because they mis estimated how much room we would need. This added a good amount of time to the move, eventhough they quickly resolved the issue and brought a new truck.
Also, there was a minor dent put in my wall from a piece of furniture. It wasn't really their fault, per say, because of the angle they had to turn to get the bureau upstairs. They promised me that it would be repaired quickly but I had to call and remind them several times. It was finally repaired and you can't even tell there was ever an accident.
One other concern I had, which I realize is a bit trivial is that I saw one employee spit on my driveway on several occasions. I found that to be extremely disrespectful.
Overall, I give them a C grading, They were very hardworkings and the price was reasonable, but I felt there were definately things that needed improvement.

The reason you may have felt you needed to call a few times, which we answered and explained the fact that we were researching the best avenue of repair for the "dent" in your wall and wanted to make sure we could repair that with no further issues, in an effort to make sure it was completely restored to it's original appearance before we arrived. as far the concern with the worker "spiting" in your driveway, the entire team has been coached on proper use of tissue paper. While every company has errors, Wayne And Family Moving is a hard working family company and like others, we continue to learn from our good practices as well as any errors or mistakes made. You were not charged for any extra amount of time, fuel, and labor it cost us to bring another truck for your move. At the time of your booking, we went over the estimated amount of bedrooms and items you had on your move and sometimes we have to make changes if there are more items as discussed with you. Don't have them move you later in the day. They were 2 hours late, even after calling me back after I already scheduled a time with them and asking to move it to an EARLIER time in the day. When I finally called them to ask them where the heck they were, they eventually mentioned that it was BETWEEN 3 and 5 (like a cable company). They asked me to put stuff in my car that would make them "less liable." Sure I want my stuff to make it there in one piece. But really? Asking me to shove more things in my already-overstocked-vehicle because they couldn't ensure it's safety... I can tell you I've used another company that provided their own moving items and took responsibility for items in their possession. Overall, being late and lazy just irked me. If I give them the benefit of the doubt, it was during a heat wave and they had already finished 2 jobs before me. But won't be using these folks again.

As I'm sure you could understand that mistakes do happen and our office overbooked the movers that day, however made sure your move was still completed on the scheduled day. Also anything that was not "willingly" put on our truck by an employee due to it's not being properly packed is only due to our insurances not covering "any" improperly packed materials, and we just did not want to gamble with your belongings being broken. Three men worked in the 100+ degree weather all day. Moved our piano for $25 (awesome). Overall wonderful and hardworking movers.

Moved furniture from one house to our new one & then moved a refrigerator from here back to original house. Did a GREAT job, took very good care of items they were moving as well as woodwork, walls, door-frames & such that they were going through. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing to move & were very reasonable on rates. GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD RATES !! Don't see that very often.

Wayne and Family did excellent work. This was the second time I used them. They arrived on time. Wayne Jr and Larry were both professionals, very nice, and took real pride in doing there work. I asked them to do some really non-traditional work for movers since they were here to move a swing set. The installed large heavy patio blocks to create me a patio in front of the swing they moved. This was very complex due to leveling the ground, removing grass and getting it all to be flat. The results were excellent and my wife and I are thrilled with it! Roger.

We were very impressed with our movers, Larry, Mike & Steve. They were friendly, professional, and most importantly, didn't break our stuff! :-) They treated every box & piece of furniture with care, and not a single thing broke on the move. I was really impressed with how hard they worked. They moved us from a condo & storage unit into a 3 story historic home, and they were fast & helpful. 5 stars for our movers, for sure. I would hire those guys again anytime.
We had a mishap with the actual company organization - the company ran about an hour late because of a scheduling mishap (and my husband sat at the storage unite for an hour, waiting), and the truck actually had some mechanical problems in the middle of the move, which set us a little behind. Wayne & Family knocked off some money from the bill, and that completely satisfied us.

On time, fair priced because they charge when they get to your house not when they leave the office. They are organized, and fast too. I was so pleased with them specially after having had terrible experiences with some of the big moving companies. which I will never hire again since they hire third parties. These guys are a family.

They quoted me the correct prices, no hidden charges, no complicated contracts with small letters no one reads because it would take too long to do so. They are clean, they loaded my furnishing with care, wrapping everything in clean blankets, and they did not egin charging when they left their office like most. They asked questions about the loading /unloading when in doubt. they are great people to work with.
