"I contacted Nick regarding my need to have drywall installed for one entire floor of a house. He had his drywall guy, Jeramy, come give me a estimate and talk me through the job. Jeramy was very professional and really easy to work with. Once they started the job, Jeramy communicated clearly and often about the status of the job, schedules for progress, and arrival times at the house. He and his guys were very neat and careful and minimized mess and impact while they worked even when it necessitated carrying sheet rock through the house to the 3rd story. Throughout the process Nick continued to communicate as needed to ensure everything went smoothly. The job took a little longer than expected due to the quirks of it being a very old house and lots of strange angles and corners, but they communicated and coordinated well to make it happen. A couple extra days was no problem and well worth it for the amazing attention to detail and high quality work that they did. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again."

We are a full service home improvement company currently employing seven full time installers two part time installers three fulltime salesmen three part time sales personel. All of these people are employees of our company, covered by our insurance policies, and not relying on yours. We only use sub-contractors for certain concrete or roofing applications and we make sure they carry all the insurance needed for your protection. We offer free estimates. Once an agreement for our services has been reached and a contract has been signed we ask for a downpayment of 25-30% of the job total. The balance is do upon completion of the job and final approval by the customer.

"The windows and gutters seem o.k. The siding is very noisy and is continually popping and creaking. The noise is very annoying. The original vinyl siding made NO noise and DID NOT pop and creak. When a piece of siding blew off the house, one could see how the siding was installed. Please refer to attached photo."

Apply a sealant to your cabinets to repel water and moisture. This will help prevent further water damage from developing, such as mold and rotting wood. Lacquer, polyurethane, and varnish are commonly used sealants with waterproofing abilities. Brush them onto your cabinets and follow the manufacturer's instructions on drying time, which can take up to several hours.

Buying a kitchen cabinet or finding an experienced cabinet maker is likely going to be your best option unless you have the necessary experience and woodworking skills. If you’re just replacing one cabinet base or one cabinet, making your own is entirely possible and more effective, assuming you have the right equipment.

Because of their location, kitchen cabinets are susceptible to water damage from sinks and household appliances like refrigerators and dishwashers. The back wall of kitchen cabinets is often obscured by its contents, making it harder to detect water seeping through the floor and into the unit from plumbing, window leaks, and broken appliances. When the water isn’t immediately dried and is left to sit there, it penetrates the cabinets and leaves them damaged.

There should be at least 18 inches of space between the upper wall cabinets and your countertop in order to have enough room to use your countertops. If you have a kitchen island, you should allow 42 to 48 inches between the base cabinets and the island for door clearance and walking space.

If you are building a laminate countertop from scratch, instead of buying premade laminate countertops, you can use particle board underneath the laminate. You will need to use a sheet of particle board for the substrate, along with four-inch strips underneath the edges. For proper installation, make sure that any seams are level and use a sander as necessary before installing the laminate.
