"Thank you!"
"It is unfortunate someone started the members job and walked away from the job without finishing what they had started, and it is unfortunate that this member was displeased with the our service. However from very first correspondence on July 18, 2016 I made it very clear to the member that their job may not be something that I could take on and thus the hiring of my services were in limbo from the start of this process. On July 18, 2016 it was also requested that the member send pictures so I could ascertain whether the job was something I could take on. Unfortunately the member did not send the pictures until nearly 5 months later, but on December 11, 2016 when I finally received the pictures they indicated that the kitchen was in disarray and whomever had started the job had left the member with a real mess. Due to the magic of technology we can add in some missing details that will clarify what ACTUALLY transpired. On July 18, 2016 at 1:18 PM CST I received a email notification from Angielist Storefront that a purchase had been made for a $249 HANDYMAN Coupon Offer. The member notes on the coupon are as follows "I have a drop down ceiling in the kitchen a friend of mine was in the process of removing. He is not available now, so I need to finish it. Need to Install drywall, and insert LED can lights." At 5:54 PM CST on July 18, 2016 I repsonded via with the following: "Thank you for your purchase. Based on your list I will need to see your project to determine if it is something I can take on. I will need you to send me some pictures. Scheduling at present is 3 months out." It was not until 5 months later on December 11, 2016 at 9:21PM that I finally received a response from the member to my July 18, 2016 email. The member attach 3 pictures and asked "stating "Are you available yet?" To which I responded on December 16th, 2016 at 9:42AM CST: "I will need to come take a look. At present January is where I am scheduling." The member responded back on December 15, 2016 CST at 9:49AM CST: "Ok. That would be fine. Let me know when." On December 21, 2016 I received a email from Angies List Customer Service requesting I 'reach out' to the member about scheduling. On December 21, 2016 I reached put to the member iwth the following message: "At present December 30 around 10:30AM is the only date I have. As I said from the beginning I will need to look at it to see if it is something I can take on, based on the pictures you provided I will tell you up front this is probably not going to be something I will take on.. If you would like a refund you need to contact Angie's List for that, I know there is a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee, but I have had them issue refunds to members in excess of 6 months. The key point on refunds is that no work has been performed. They will also assist you in finding you another contractor." I never heard back from the member, but Angies List called to let me know that they were working to find the member another contractor to assist them with their project."
"Thank you for the kind words, it was our pleasure working with you!"
