CertaPro Painters® of League City

This is our first experience with CertoPro Painters. We had the exterior of our house painted and are very pleased with the finished product. Cortez and his crew as well as Douglas, our project manager, were all very professional, courteous and responsive to any of our questions and concerns. Our house looks beautiful and hope your hard work lasts a long time. Thank you!

In October 2017, I had the entire outside of my house painted. It is two stories with a two-car garage. Numerous repairs to the siding were needed, some identified initially and included in the proposal, some discovered after power washing and added to the project. The total cost of the job was $9,180. The contract does not identify how much of the cost was the painting and how much was the repair work. I made the mistake of choosing to paint anew with the existing color. Therefore, it is difficult to assess the coverage of the new paint. At the completion of the job, I did a walk-around with the painter and sales representative and everything looked good. Within a couple of months I noticed areas that needed touch-up, including some where the paint was peeling. I contacted the company about it in January 2018. It took until March 2, 2018 for the painters to return to do the touch-up work, but they did nothing about the peeling paint. The owner claimed that the peeling of the paint was separation of the wood and recommended waiting longer before taking any action. In the meantime, I also noted caulk coming out from joints and many splits and cracks that were not sealed. In May 2018, at my request, the manager of a local paint store came out and looked at the paint job. He did not make judgments about the quality of the work. However, he described the proper way to paint and close all openings. He explained that any gaps in the paint will allow moisture to get behind the paint and cause peeling and damage to the underlying wood. Based on what I learned, it is my opinion that the painting done on my house was of poor quality. I am very unhappy with the final product and have received no satisfaction from Mr. Scott Blair, the owner of the company. He has denied responsibility for the problems and ignored my repeated requests for remediation. I wrote to the CertaPro corporation for help and they ignored me as well. Unfortunately for me, I cannot ignore the peeling paint, peeling caulk, and open gaps. I will have to pay someone else to finish the job that I paid CertaPro to do.

It did not go too well. They had to come out 3 times because the sheet rock was taped and floated. They didn't realize that the tape and floating wasn't dry enough, so the paint bubbled and peeled. They came back out and re-painted. The paint bubble and peeled again. They came back a third time to repaint. They stood on my tub and counters to paint as opposed to using a ladder and splashed paint everywhere.

The one thing they did not do that I thought they should have done better is they did not protect our plants. I thought the price was high.

Scheduled a time and date for an estimate for interior and exterior painting, along with adding crown and minor sheet rock repair. Tracy was on time and answered all of my questions. The estimate was given on the spot. Tracy was very informative and said if I had any questions to call. My wife and I  looked over the estimates and decided to go with CertaPro. We did have a few changes to the estimate and Tracy was very helpful with getting the estimates updated and sent back. We decided to just do the exterior at this time to see how it would go and to see how the painters were on keeping the areas clean and neat. I have to give these painters a A+ in this area. All work was completed in two days and everything was like they were never there, except the home looked new again. We will be using there service in the coming year for  the interior.  JOB WELL DONE.

Everything went well. There were delays due to rain, but that is out of the providers hand. Lovely couple who owns this branch, Scott and Lisa. Lisa also helped me by being a sounding board when going over the color options.

Scott and his wife Lisa are just great. So friendly, and truly care that you are satisfied. Scott is the owner and his wife Lisa was nice enough to come over to my house and talk colors, so that I had a sounding board before settling on the exterior paint colors. Lisa came by with paint samples and we sat outside and just talked and came up with a great palette, that I not only loved, but that my HOA would approve. :)
Scott then planned out timing. We had to wait a bit as it was during the huge amount of rain League City got in September. But when it finally cleared, Scott called everyday to say when the painters would be there and what they would be doing. 
They even painted and installed my newly purchased shutters. 
Even after they were "done", Scott came over to ensure that everything looked good, and even pointed out a few touch ups that I had missed and made sure his guys came over and took care of it. 
And my foyer looks great as well. The painters were very clean and courteous, and did a great job with a medium-dark gray in the foyer, which isn't easy, what with the crown molding, curved staircase and niches.
I am thinking of redoing my dining room and upstairs game room and I wouldn't call any one but Scott.

Did not have a long wait to set date. They arrived on time and completed on time. There was serious patching to do on ceiling of patio. Being a perfectionist, I asked them to smooth out areas that they left a little rough. I find that CertaPro guarantees customer satisfaction and stands by there guarantee. They went the extra mile to finish the ceiling. I will definitely use them for future painting needs. Very professional and pleasant team. Oh, they did a great job in cleaning up behind themselves.

Scott was prompt in meeting us in the house at the date and time we agreed, he was helpfull helping us choose the colors and the paint quality and provided the estimate in a timely manner even after we added spaces to the original request.
His crew was there on time and they did a very good job. We walked thru the finished job with Scott and the few touch-ups required were handled to our satisfaction.

The team showed up promptly and got straight to work after a brief review of what needed to be done.  They worked up until lunch, took a short lunch break, and then returned to finish up. Before they left, each of them examined the room, as did I, for any spots that might need to be touched up that were only visible once the paint dried.  The particular paint I bought only required one coat in most places, rather than the expected two, so the project that we'd anticipated would take two days only took one.
