MOUNTAIN CONSTRUCTION

Terrible. Unfortunately, the terms of the contract weren’t fulfilled and we are left finishing a large portion of the remodel and addition. Although we hired Mountain Construction to build an addition and remodel our retirement home and ~93% of funds were provided to Mountain Construction, we were left with ~35%-40% of the overall construction not completed. I would not use nor recommend Mountain Construction for any project one might be considering.

Mountain Construction delivered a final project product that was precisely what I wanted in every respect. Our project was a complex approx. 1000 sq ft deck replacement involving amendments to original footprint as well as salvaging and integrating an original unique gazebo roof into the new build...not your regular build...but the patience and respect that representative Glen had for my many nuanced design / cost concerns yielded perfect results. I imagine any project less complex and more straight forward than ours would be a cakewalk to perfection for this organization. Demolition of old deck: Zero mess, and it was a massive rotten cedar deck Build Time: Only delay was weather related, finished within couple wks of estimate Build Quality: Used local craftsman that were so precise with cuts that I'm not entirely sure how they did some of the more complex ones; very sharp looking. **If you compare estimates, as anyone should, and you find cheaper enough to make a difference in your builder decision you will reduce the quality of the finished product not going with this company**

Mountain Construction did a superb job in helping contractors and management stay informed and on target for accomplishing all construction goals and proved indispensable with achieving an extremely high degree of quality in the finished product. Consistent performance over the range of projects necessary for success was remarkable. This company is a rare gem.

We hired Mountain Construction to finish our basement. We highly recommend Glenn and his team at Mountain Construction for your project needs. Glenn listened to what we wanted (finishes) and our budget and presented to us a plan that not only met both. We were pleased with the final product and his attention to detail to finish our basement to look like it was finished when the house was built instead of looking like an after thought. We were very happy with his team of contractors, they were considerate and proficient. Our basement is beautiful and the process was so painless, thanks to Glenn and his entire team!

I have always wanted a screened in patio, but was hesitant to know who to contact for the job. I liked the reviews of Mountain Construction on Angi. I was immediately impressed with Glenn. He communicated a plan that met our needs and budget. He was always responsive to my many questions and provided a calm guidance. I always knew which team member was showing up for the job and the timeline. Master carpenter Mark was amazing in his skill and professionalism. He puts such pride in his work. Glenn consistently checked each step of the project and made sure that the worksite was clean. As a customer, I felt respected and heard. The addition fits naturally with the house. The project included tearing out our 50+ year old patio, removal of part of fence, excavation of the backyard, stamped concrete patio/ walkway, screened in porch with two doors, lights and ceiling fan installed, roofing, and reconstruction of fence.

The guys at Mountain Construction are a pleasure to work with. Glenn and the team are courteous craftsman who take pride in their work. They are very respective of you, your house and your schedule. Glenn was very communicative about the schedule and the progress making sure we knew the plan on a weekly basis. We would definitely hire them again for another project.

If you choose Mountain Construction for your remodel of any size on your home you will not be disappointed by the slightest! Everything from Glenn's crew showing up on time daily to cleaning up end of work day was consistent. From the electricians, painters, plumbers, tile setter, to counter top company was nothing short of professional. Glenn and Rob (carpenter) checked in at least twice a day would inform you what was happening daily and what your job was weekly to go pick out (the exciting part for any home owner) Seeing changes daily was always happening and so fun! I'm a stay at home mom (my husband works quite a bit being away from the home) and I always felt so comfortable with everyone in and out of my house, there was never any awkwardness.

Mountain Construction brought our beautiful 1950s house back to life. Glenn manages a small team and together they seamlessly remodeled the first floor and part of our basement in 5 months. The work never stopped and it was so great getting to know Rob, as well as Mark and Kevin. They take so much pride in their work and were really invested in our home and preferences. Mountain Construction is wonderful to work with and we love the way everything turned out; they genuinely want your home to look amazing AND to be ready to withstand the next 25-50 years. They improved/upgraded our home as needed in addition to the agreed upon work and made sure everything was done with outstanding craftsmanship. Constant communication, questioning and documentation will help make everything run smooth. Plan to make most of your material selections from Home Depot or Lowes, it worked out great for us because there were so many affordable options. Mountain Construction was one of three quotes I received for our first floor remodel. I was very thorough in the companies I selected to quote as this was a major project in our home. All companies that I had quote the project were highly rated on Angie’s List with lots of positive reviews. Glen from Mountain Construction really stood out to us. He wasn’t the cheapest quote (middle) but I liked the fact that he was a medium-sized company that only took on 2-3 projects at a time so that he could provide his undivided attention to our project. Secondly, we felt like he was more vested in our project from the get go than the others. I felt like I was just another project with the others (probably because they have hundreds of jobs going on at the same time). Glen was the only company to continually follow-up with me after providing a quote as it took some time for my wife and I to pull the trigger. Once we pulled the trigger it was full steam ahead and Glen promptly provided a timeline of what to expect when. The work started immediately and Glen was absolutely awesome at communicating what to expect when throughout the process. Rob Is a carpenter that works for Glen who did most of the work for us. Both Glen and Rob have a tremendous amount of professionalism, do quality work and really over-communicate throughout. Sometimes you can hire contractors who can do good work but are not good at the business side of it (communicating, following-up, etc.). That’s not Mountain Construction. These guys are the real deal and are the entire package. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to hire a company that is professional, does quality work and on budget. We were very happy with them and next time that we have a project to do I won’t hesitate to call Glen.

After firing the first contractor who was doing my kitchen remodel, I reached out to Mountain Construction to see if they would finish the job. Glenn was quick to respond. Rob came in and quickly got the kitchen back in order. I had used Mountain Construction about 3 years ago to finish a loft over my garage and was very pleased with the results. Hindsight, I wish I had hired them to do the kitchen remodel in the first place. I will definitely look to them with any future projects. THANKS!

After 12 months of significant research looking for the right contractor for a major remodel of the second floor of our 1950’s home, we selected Mountain Construction. After all the bids were reviewed and references checked, it was an easy decision for us to choose Mountain Construction. Our project entailed expanding our master bedroom by merging it with an adjoining bedroom. This allowed for the creation of a very large custom designed walk-in closet to go along with the new master suite. The master and hall baths were also enlarged, modernized, and improved to the point of becoming spa-like. As empty-nester professionals, we are thrilled that we can have a home with all the comforts we want without having to leave the home we have loved for decades. From the first days of demolition to the final details on the punch list, the quality of the workmanship and materials were of the highest caliber. It’s natural to be nervous, even skeptical, when contracting for such a large job on your home. However, Glenn and his team of craftsman put our fears to rest and made our dreams come true. It is no wonder Mountain Construction has so much repeat business. As we said earlier, it was an easy decision to select Mountain Construction for our project. The quality of work performed was great. Glen made sure the project was designed and constructed properly. Well built - exceeded city codes. Our outdoor space is BEAUTIFUL! Glen began our project in the winter and that really helped us to complete it before our deadline. Glen's guys were all qualified and professional. His trim carpenter was fabulous and paid attention to every detail and consulted with us regularly.

The project went well, Rob was always there on time. They wrapped up the project in the time frame they gave me at the start. Rob's attention to detail and finish work was excellent. Glen brought in an HVAC specialist that came up with some very creative ductwork to get airflow back to the two upstairs bedrooms. Over all was very satisfied and working with Glen and Rob was a pleasure.

Work was completed in a timely manner. Glenn is always responsive to calls or texts which helps move the project along. I'm sure we will use Mountain Construction again as there are a few more projects to complete in our house.

It went very well from tear town to finish. Mountain Construction has done other work on my home and that’s why I asked them to do all of the work in my bathroom. I will ask them again when I decide on next project. All of the work is great and love the tile layout and design ?

Great! I'm deciding which home projects I want to do next with Mountain Construction. I've done home projects over the years and have never been this pleased with the schedule, professionalism, design and work. The man who led this project is excellent. I've already recommended them to some friends.

Fantastic! We love the finished product! The company gave us great recommendations throughout the project, and they were really easy to work with. They were able to satisfy requests that other designers in the past claimed couldn't be done. They were great communicators, keeping us up to speed and aware of everything that was going on well in advance. Rob, the foreman, was a super nice guy. He held our hand the whole time. I wanted to adopt him into the family! Everybody was great to work with, and they kept everything super clean. There were a couple of minor issues that popped up, which you'd expect with a job like this, but they were great at resolving everything without any conflict or hurt feelings. Even their subcontractors were great! This whole experience turned out better and easier than I ever could have imagined, especially given all the horror stories you hear about jobs of this scale. When all was said and done, we were sad to see them leave!

The workmanship is excellent and the workers were the best part as they were all professional, courteous, and expert craftsmen. In fact i have hired Glen to complete a few more jobs.

We hired Mountain Construction to remodel our master bathroom after they had finished a project in our previous home.  The remodel turned out equally well.  The project included a glass enclosed shower, a wood tongue-in-groove ceiling, new vanity with granite counter top, a sliding barn-style door and shelving in the master closet.  The craftsmanship is superb.  All the wood trim and the heavy weight barn style door were built with outstanding attention to detail.  We also had tile removed from our entryway and new tile installed in the entryway and master bathroom.  The project was finished on time and budget, and is exactly what we wanted. 
Glenn and his crew are extremely professional.  The work is done when promised, both the project initiation and the completion.  He keeps you informed on project status, as well as any unforeseen issues which arise. 
We will use Mountain Construction for our next project.
