Then I was told it cost me thousands MORE dollars to have my front yard tore up, when the problem was not in my yard, but a city a problem that the city took care of! "We had a $4,000 entry window replaced in May. When the window was installed, there was a problem with the top trim and casing. Champion sent our multiple people to remeasure. We were pushed off with "it is on order" until October. At which point I began calling every number I had every day until we were able to finally get someone out to put up the trim to cover up the foam at the top of the window. We were told that was the best they could do and that the window would not have the upper casing and that it was normal. The window looked unfinished and was not worth the cost. In November they came back out to trim the side casings to make it look more presentable but still did not offer to put on the upper casing. My husband and I researched and expended additional time and expense to correct the work ourselves. Due to the run around, failure to return calls or follow through with appointments I was disappointed with the process, customer service, and the final product."

"Scheduled an AC checkup for my primary residence, a single family home of roughly 1400 square feet. An on-site crew came out where a "senior" technician was training someone new. To be specific, the newbie was doing *all* the wrenching. The "senior" tech was "observing". This crew checked everything out on my condenser outside and found nothing out of specification, including the amount of refrigerant. I specifically inquired about that before they began work, and after. Less than 36 hours later, my AC system is no longer producing any cold air while the condenser compressor is running constantly. I call Santa Fe back and they send someone out to verify and fix the situation. During this visit, the technician indicates the system is almost entirely devoid of refrigerant. After consulting with the home office, I'm asked to be spoken to by the lady doing dispatch and calling the shots. She indicates that since their technicians left the residence with everything working properly, I would need to sign a waiver for them to do any further work. This was apparently because my AC system appears to have a leak. I tried to explain "with proof" how my AC system was working previously to their training crew coming out. I took screenshots of my Nest thermostat showing before and after. She wasn't having any of it, despite this second technician trying to make the situation right while on the call. Luckily, he went ahead and refilled my system. I tried calling back, asking for a supervisor or ownership, but I never heard back. Since the second technician visit, my AC system has been working just as it did before."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. "Beware - Patriot will not stand behind any problems they cause with existing equipment, no matter how long they have serviced it. Ten years ago I found Patriot on an app like this and have been happy with them UNTIL 4 days ago. Four days ago they came out to perform seasonal maintenance. The tech made a 'rookie' mistake (per owner Jake) which ended up making it necessary to replace a circuit board. I offered to pay half the cost. Jake refused saying he wouldn't accept the offer. WHAT? I'm having to repair my HVAC - which was working efficiently and no issues - at my expense because their 'rookie' tech broke something? This is not the way to do business. Please cancel my service contract and refund my money. Interesting question at the end of this review: 'would you hire them again?' H*** NO"

"Midwest replaced my 23 year old Lennox home HVAC system with a new, top of the line, high efficiency, Lennox system for a reasonable price. I was impressed with the fast, free, custom tailored, detailed estimate, the ability to have the new system installed within just a couple of days, and the speed and quality of the installation team. The estimator (Tom) arrived just two hours after I called, was very personable, very knowledgeable, and helped me select the right components at the right price (with guidance about unit costs, efficiencies, energy savings, rebates and tax credits) to match my criteria. I liked that he had many years of experience, and he went above and beyond to make sure my new system (which replaced a broken system) was installed before an upcoming cold blast. I received two other estimates, and they did not go near as well, with a generic good, better, and best high priced estimate (without input from me) from one company, and another company selling only units from lower quality manufacturers. The installation team started at 8:30 am, and went right to work. They also had many years of experience, and were ready for my walk-thru at 3:00 pm. They did a great job in a short time. Nice!
