"What an amazing team of people!  We were so impressed with the quality of work.  The business owner,  Torlando, is so knowledgable when it comes to color, wall repairs, and types of paint.  He offered great advice on paint color combinations.  He would use my color preferences to come up with the right shades that worked together.  It was particularly challenging on the main level where the great room, dining area and kitchen were in an open area.  If I questioned any of his ideas, he would paint a small area with a couple of samples so that I could see how the lighting would affect them and how the furniture would work with them.

The team of painters, John and Nick, headed up by Alan, were AMAZING.  They were professional and worked efficiently, yet were very meticulous with everything, including wall repairs, moving furniture, reaching tough areas like the 18 foot tall walls in the great room, and applying four coats of paint on the dining room furniture to insure that it would withstand daily use.  It was difficult to find any missed spots, but when I did, they were quick to fix them, plus they went above and beyond what was expected, making suggestions on how they could make certain areas of our home look even better than expected.  For three and a half weeks, they appeared at our doorstep promptly at 8:30 a.m.  I have never worked with a nicer, more talented group of people.  We were sorry to see them go as they almost felt like family.  I may have to come up with another project for them, just so we can have them back!"

"This is the most helpful and professional landscaping company. They did everything very neatly and with great knowledge of different types of plants and trees. Owner Jason is extremely friendly and helpful. They even asked if there was anything else we needed to make sure what they did was fine with me. I wish all other companies were as personal and very talented as this. Will ask them to do more work again because they are so great to work with.

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair a short circuit depends on the type of repair. A faulty outlet or simple loose wire can be a simple fix that might only cost a handful of dollars. For example, if you need to rewire a house, you’ll spend around $2 to $4 per square foot, but replacing an entire electrical panel costs anywhere from $500 to $2,100.

While wet-rated and damp-rated lighting is designed to handle contact with moisture, there’s a difference between the two. Wet-rated lighting is safety-rated to be placed in areas with direct exposure to water, including your shower. Fixtures classed as wet-rated are made with waterproof seals to protect the filament and other electrical components from water and moisture.

Damp-rated fixtures can be used in places with some moisture contact, but not direct exposure. They don’t have the same waterproof seals used in wet-rated fixtures. Damp-rated lighting can be used on your bathroom ceiling or along a wall outside of your shower.

The cost of lamp repair generally ranges from $30 to $150, with an average cost of around $75. Common repairs like rewiring or replacing a switch typically cost around $60 and $80, respectively. The final price depends on factors such as the type of lamp, the complexity of the issue, and the parts required. Keep in mind that repair costs may be higher for ornate or antique lamps. It's a good practice to ask for a price quote from a professional lamp repair service to determine if the investment is worthwhile.

Testing tools, such as Christmas light testers, non-contact proximity electrical testers, and multimeters, all simplify the process of testing Christmas lights. However, without one or more of those tools, testing Christmas lights the old-fashioned way only works sometimes. Without testing tools, the simplest testing method is visual inspection, which may or may not yield positive results.

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.
