Customers say: Quick response

"Josh was great he took down and put up a new ceiling fan in family room, a new chandelier in dining room, new foyer light. Replaced a dimmer switch and reconfigured a four switch wall switch. He was on time and very thorough. I thought the price was very reasonable. Would definitely hire him again when we need any electrical work done."

"The equipment was delivered promptly, and the installers arrived shortly after. Chris Hardin and Anthony were the installers. They were very experienced, well trained, knowledgeable, and did top quality work. Both were polite, personable, and treated me with respect. I tend to be a perfectionist and must say if I would have had the skills to do this job myself, I could not have done any better. I have never seen such good quality for any heating and air conditioner replacement in other homes I have owned. In addition to replacing the furnace and air conditioner units, some other items that were replaced were: suction and liquid lines, the exterior breaker box, condenser pad, furnace vent, insert in the vent going up the chimney, and the condensation pump and hose. The old furnace was situated such that there was not much room to change the air filter and perform maintenance. The new furnace was repositioned to eliminate that problem. This involved rerouting the electrical cable to the furnace switch and partially extending the gas line. My previous coil was never a tight fit over the furnace and therefore, cool and warm air escaped. Special care was taken to tightly mount the new coil and thoroughly seal it with silicone. Some insulation was even used around ducts nearby. All the old equipment, including the condenser pad, was hauled away. The work area was cleaned up well after completion."

"I was pleased with the installation of the lightning rods--communication was great and the work was done quickly. What I wasn't happy with is he quoted me a price that was less then my actual bill was BUT the price was still less then two other contractors bids."

"Words can't describe how thankful we are. January 24th hours before the snow storm hit we had electrical problems no electricity. They were here immediately. They located the problem and worked 2 days outside in the snow storm. They cared about our safety. They were knowledgeable, very thorough and clean. We recommend them highly! They have our business. GOD BLESS THEM!!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Salem often overlook required permits for electrical work, risking safety and code compliance. Attempting DIY electrical repairs instead of hiring a licensed electrician is a frequent error. Many also forget to plan for humidity and storm-related risks when upgrading outdoor wiring. Skipping updates to outdated wiring or missing opportunities to improve energy efficiency—such as switching to LED fixtures—are other common missteps in the area.

Helpful?

When planning electrical projects in Salem, always factor in local building codes and neighborhood guidelines, especially if you live in a historic area. Severe weather, including tornadoes and ice storms, should influence your choices for outdoor electrical work. Contractor availability can vary throughout the year, so scheduling major projects in spring or fall often leads to smoother timelines and better access to skilled professionals.

Helpful?

As a new homeowner in Salem, start by scheduling a thorough electrical panel inspection, especially if your home is older. Prioritize installing GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor areas to meet safety codes. Consider adding whole-house surge protection to guard against storm damage. Upgrading attic and basement wiring, and hardwiring smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, will help ensure your home is safe and up to date.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Salem offers immediate safety improvements, more reliable power during storms, and better lighting for darker months. Over time, you’ll benefit from increased home value, lower energy bills thanks to efficient upgrades, and fewer unexpected repairs. Keeping your electrical system current also helps with insurance requirements and ensures your home is ready for future technology and potential resale.

Helpful?

In Salem, electrical panels from homes built in the 1960s through the 1980s often need upgrades. Outdoor lighting and wiring can deteriorate quickly due to humidity and storms. Basements with moisture issues frequently require electrical updates, while kitchen and bathroom outlets may need GFCI replacements. Attic wiring and garage or workshop circuits are also likely to need attention as your home ages.
