"During the night our heat pump started buzzing and the fan would not turn on, leaving us with no air conditioning in 90° heat. We called Hughes in the morning and they were able to come the same afternoon. The tech was very punctual, pleasant and professional. He found the problem quickly and had the part for our heat pump. In under an hour our pump was running and the house was cooling down. We had a maintenance agreement so we received a discount on the part and service call. We have used Hughes in the past and they are always helpful, professional and friendly. We have been very happy with their service and this time was no different. We will definitely use them again and would highly recommend Hughes."

"Did not have a good experience with Lowes flooring installation. They contract out the installation and our installation group did not have supervision and did not properly install plastic barriers to minimize dust impact of demo dust from pulling up old floor. We expected some dust but we ended up with a layer of heavy dust throughout our entire first floor. We had to bring in a cleaning crew the next day to simply get back to baseline and Lowes customer service was marginal at best. Would never contract with Lowes again for this type of project. Disappointing."

For many years now, we have been building pools in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. At our retail location on 7302 Kentucky Avenue, we now have the ability to better serve our customer base. We offer nationally recognized brands such as Pool Logic, Natural Chemistry, and EZPool chemicals, Pentair and Hayward equipment, and the latest and best in robotic cleaners from SmartPool. We have actual pools inside our showroom to demonstrate everything from chemical maintenance to pool automation.

"Don't even wait for the other guys let you down, just call Jensen's. We had a nightmare with another company that the last homeowners recommended when our heater busted. It took weeks to get sorted out with the other guys and I finally had enough as their price kept increasing and weeks crept by. Matt and Eric at Jensen's were there to save the day for me. They got a new heater installed, VERY affordably, within a week, in the middle of summer! Everyone was so pleasant, and get this: THEY ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN YOU CALL THEM! I know that sounds so basic in terms of customer service, but when's the last time you were able to reach your pool company with ease? I will be using them for anything I can in the future, and you should too. I am getting an auto cover quote from them next week and I'm also going to use them to close my pool. I know they don't do weekly service but for anything else I would highly recommend them!"

You’ll want to keep it at a constant temperature between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for weekly or daily use, then bump it up right before you get in. If you don’t plan to use your hot tub that often, you can turn it off as long as there’s no risk of freezing.  

The general rule of thumb is to lower it by about five degrees when you know you’re not using your hot tub for an extended period of time. With only a slight decrease in temperature, it will be easier to increase it to a desirable level when you’re ready to get back in the water instead of starting from scratch.

Depending on the material and level of upkeep, hot tubs can last anywhere from five to 20 years. Having a professional service your hot tub once a year and addressing issues immediately will help prolong the life of your hot tub.
