Gil's Lamp Repair

Gil is amazing. I called him around 7 on a Friday night and he answered immediately. He was very nice, professional and fixed my lamp. He didn’t charge me as much as I expected! He got it done the same day and had it ready when it was picked up! I offered to leave the shades with him but he said no because he didn’t want to accidentally break them. Very nice man. He answers the phone immediately and gives clear and precise directions. I would definitely hire him again!!

Repairs were made swiftly, quality job, and fair price. Dropped off the lamps on Tuesday morning and picked up on Wednesday morning! Materials used were better quality that what manufacturer provided. I will return the next time a lamp needs a repair!

Very well, I dropped the lamps off. One needed a cord and switch replaced, the other needed a new switch. Gil repaired both, called me in a couple days saying the work was done. He did a great job, charged a very fair price. Will definitely use his services again.

I took two lamps for repair. Gil knew exactly what to do for them and had them done by the next day. The cost was much less than I had expected to pay. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was great experience and I would recommend him highly to anyone that needs his expertise.

Gil did a great job repairing my lamp. He is a delightful man who works out of his home. I took the light over in the morning and it was fully repaired in the afternoon for $35.

I called Gil on at about 10 am on a Monday morning to repair an antique wooden floor lamp that no longer lighted. He told me to bring it right over. I dropped it off about 10:30 and he left a voice mail about 1:30 that the lamp was ready. He replaced the socket, the pull chain and some of the wiring inside. $33. What a bargain! As some of the other reviews indicated, he was the lamp repair guy at Exciting Lighting until they closed. I have had him repair a couple of other lamps over the years and have found excellent service and work, and this was no different now that he works out of his home. He does require cash, and he told me the only kind of lamps he will not work on are halogen lamps.

It was super great -- far better than I expected. I have two lamps my husband and I bought about 20 years ago from Exciting Lighting in Indianapolis, which is no longer in business. They're halogen lamps -- one a table top and the other a floor lamp. Imagine how happy I was to find out that Gil was the Exciting Lighting repair guy. It was dumb luck that I found him and he lives near me. He works out of his house and likes cash. He fixed a dimmer switch, burned out sockets and even replaced a bent thingamajig and put felt on the underside of the table lamp. Had both done within a couple hours of me dropped them off. I was really happy to have the work done as I've been putting it off for a few months. But with fall here, my summer light is gone, so I needed the work done.

I originally went to Exciting Lighting and much to my dismay found out that the owner had retired back in April. The lady who owns the store next door gave me Gil's card since he was the one that did all the repairs for Exciting Lighting. I called he and he said to come right over. I did and came back a couple of hours later when he had my lamp repaired. Since Gil is the one that did all the lamp repairs for Exciting Lighting I was thrilled that I was able to find him and use him again. He always did excellent work when he worked for Exciting Lighting. Actually, I have another lamp that needs repair and I'm going to take it to him.
