I described to her that I am looking for someone to come out to give us a quote on staining a small privacy screen that is mounted on the rails of our deck. There were several long silent pauses, I had to actually ask if she was still on the phone with me. She finally told me a small job does not require someone to come out to give a quote. I gave her the dimensions of the screen and told her that it probably would not take more than an hour to complete. She said the only option I had would be to pay $400 for 8 hours of work. Obviously Paintco has plenty of work that they can't be bothered with a small job like mine. And I understand. It's not a big job, but based on the phone person's lack of customer service skills, I will never call on them again."
