"I finally needed to replace my 23 year old furnace and was not happy with my current HVAC service provider so I started shopping around. I knew I wanted a Trane system so started at the trane.com website and saw that Roy Rogers was an authorized provider. I read their YP and Angie's List reviews and was impressed with what I saw so I contacted them. Dustin called me back within an hour and by that afternoon was at my door to take a look, answer my questions and provide me with a solution. I compared them to other larger installers and decided I wanted to give them my business. The installation went very smoothly, they were on-time and met every promise. There was a hiccup in the furnace the first night but Roy came right back out and within 15 minutes, problem solved. No issues since and it has been running great. I would highly recommend these folks for anyone looking to maintain or replace their HVAC system."

"Chris, the owner, was very knowledgeable about the type of furnace we needed, as well as could afford. He knew how big it should be for the size of the house. We have been using it this winter and even in the coldest period, it kept the temperature perfect. Chris did the install in minimal time and with professionalism. He even put in a flap, so that if we wanted to use our wood furnace it would close off the gas furnace flu, so the electronics would not overheat. We were very comfortable with him in our home."

"Aubrey and Jordan were very professional. This was a recently purchased house with a number of plumbing issues. They very carefully went through each of the systems and made well explained recommendations. We agreed on the scope of the work; they provided a detailed estimate which we accepted and they completed the work expeditiously. I highly recommend them."

"The guy that came out, his name was Tommy. He's the one that fixed the furnace. We had another company come three times trying to fix that furnace this winter, and it was not fixed. He stood in front of the furnace for a few minutes and knew what was needed to fix it. He put it in and it has worked perfectly ever since. We had gotten something in the mail from Summers and we'd seen their trucks around. They have very nice looking trucks. He walked in, he listened, and he fixed it. You couldn't ask for any more. We use them for our furnace and for our air conditioning."

"I had three other quotes from other local companies, one of was almost 50% more than what Irish Air offered!  It was a relief to speak with a sales person that not only had technical expertise, but genuinely wanted to get the right equipment for your needs at the best price.  Others were clearly trying to pad out their numbers or ridiculously mark-up their prices.

Installation went great.  There were some delays regarding getting the equipment, its understandable considering I booked the installation the day before.  It would have been good to have the delays communicated, but honestly the professional service and great work by the employees overshadowed any delays or little lapses in communication.

I'd recommend them to others easily."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

When winter rolls around, and you turn the heat on for the first time in a year, it’s normal to sense a light odor. This could smell a little like burning because some dust has gathered in the heating unit over the warm months and will fade away shortly after. However, there are some smells you should watch out for and take caution around: an egg-like sulfur smell or an electrical burn odor would indicate there’s something wrong. Turn it off and call a professional for maintenance as soon as possible.

In some cases, conversion kits are available, but not all boilers are compatible. Conversion may require significant modifications and should only be performed by a qualified professional. Before making a decision, compare conversion costs to the cost of a complete replacement to determine the most cost-effective and reliable option for your home.

Always consult your manual for specific pressure numbers. Many expansion tanks come pre-pressurized at a specific PSI range, anywhere from 12 to 40 PSI, designed for a range of home boilers. You should not have to pressurize an expansion tank yourself, only the boiler system. If your system has a tank that needs to be manually pressurized, this is generally a job for professionals and their tools.

No, there isn’t always water in radiators. In a one-pipe system, water is constantly circulating from the boiler to the radiators and back. In a two-pipe system, water travels through two separate channels: one that goes to your radiators and one that returns back to the boiler so it can heat up again.
