"Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! Very wonderful family owned business that delivered everything they promised and more. Bill and Gina are super to work wilth. I could not be happier with how my newly paved driveway turned out. It was a project that was on my radar for years and I feel like I was fortunate in finding the perfect fit with B&W paving. They just recently sealcoated the driveway too and did an excellent job!"

"I requested quotes from multiple providers through Angie's List. William from Central Paving was the quickest to respond and did the best job of following up. He also did a great job describing what would be done and setting the proper expectations. The team that did the job were punctual, communicated well, and did a super job bringing my driveway back to life. I will definitely be calling them the next time I need my driveway resealed."

"Extremely well. The owner and his employees were considerate and always concerned with our property and that of our neighbor. In a relatively small space  their creative ideas and use of colors and patterns turned an eyesore into a place we can enjoy and share with family and friends. The project was completed in four days and a pool that was in close proximity was as pristine as the day the project started. The work is hard and tedious and we greatly appreciate their patience in answering our questions and keeping us informed on their progress, and what was coming next. Good folks, fun to be around. It took us a while to find Grounds
Quality Lawn Care and it was worth the wait.

"We have a long driveway in the country (100 yds+). With the past heavy snow and severe drifting, our driveway became impassable even for our 4WD pickup. Called Freshscape for a quote. They immediately quoted the job using a maps app. They arrived less than 2 hours later and worked for several hours to clear our driveway. The job was completed exceptionally well. They used a frontloader as well as some hand-shovelling (near our garages) to clear a wider drive than a simple plow would have done and they were very careful to not disturb the driveway stone under the snow. Their attention to detail on something as mundane as snow removal spoke volumes of their professionalism. Will definitely use again for snow removal and all our landscaping needs!"

"That was fine.  It was fine, it was just that I guess they were so overwhelmed with people taking advantage of the response it took them longer to get here than I would have liked.  That's not their fault.  There were no additional charges.  Everything went fine with the work.  I don't know about their overall grade because I don't know how much weight to give the promptness.  It's like they responded okay to the thing, but it's just like, when I asked when they could come it was three weeks later. It was in December, actually.  I guess somehow these smaller companies are trying to get more business so they use Angie's List and Angie's List is big so people are trying to take advantage of it. They really should get more people so they can get people's work done faster.  I mean the actual work was good and I was not displeased one they got here and did the work, it was just honoring the request longer than I wish they would've.  I think the promptness is important, but not important enough to not give them above average for their work.  I thought that was a good price.  They responded, they called me like, you know, they called us in regard to us asking for the work but then it was like, oh well, we got overwhelmed by a lot of people so it's going to be closer to four weeks before they got here. We were wanting to get rid of our leaves.   They were punctual in that they said they would be out tomorrow and they came tomorrow. But it was like three and a half weeks before they could call and say they are coming tomorrow. They responded to us taking up the offer, in other words, you know, when we checked we wanted their service, they responded to that, but then when they called us it was like, well, gee, we're really booked up now.  I think some of the smaller companies can afford to have these deals because they're trying to get business and notoriety, but on the other hand they can't handle the business Angie's List can afford them.  If I were Angie's people I would say, "well, how big is your company," and then when you find out it's a small company, you say, "well we need to find 5 other companies that want to offer the same deal."  They need to be spread out over more people somehow -- more service providers.   They were professional.  I have their number now and I called them in September for something that I needed in the future."

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.

The driveway apron is a technical term referring to where a private driveway meets the public street. If there is a sidewalk in front of the house, the driveway apron is typically on the opposite side of the public sidewalk from the driveway itself.

If you miss the perfect time frame to trowel finish concrete, you likely won’t get the smooth, flawless result you’re looking for. In this case, you should contact a concrete professional or look to methods like sanding, grinding, or patching once the concrete dries. These methods will ensure the best final result for the lowest cost.

Pavers will crack in a fire pit if they are made of the wrong materials. Be sure to use kiln-fired brick paver stones when building your backyard fire pit. You can also purchase a fire pit project kit, which will sometimes come with fire-safe pavers, to help you avoid the guessing game of buying pavers separately.

In most cases, driveway repair is worth the investment. Your driveway is one of the first things people see when they look at your home, so repairing cracks, chips, and potholes can improve your home’s curb appeal and overall value. Repairing your driveway is also almost always more affordable than replacing it entirely—an average of $1,765 compared to the cost of replacing a driveway, which typically costs around $5,000.
