Really disappointed in the entire experience with grounds quality lawn. Starting with just initiating the job, it took nearly a month to get responses from them and get someone out to start work. I only stuck with it at that point because a family friend said they were good but should have gone with my gut and found another company at that point. The guys they sent were constantly taking breaks and at one point the foreman even grabbed my fishing pole and spent about 30 min fishing while the remaining four watched him. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if the rate I was paying was more reasonable but they were charging me about $600 per hour for the 5 guys so these breaks and fishing sessions were costing me a lot of money. I voiced my concern with the project manager who just made excuses and cared not at all about what was going on. I asked to speak to owner Justin grounds who did the same. Just excused the behavior and had no problem with it whatsoever. All the while no one could explain why the hourly rate was so high when the guys were working so inefficiently. They kept saying the hourly rate was $60 per hour per crew member but charging me double that with no explanation. Not sure if I was just unlucky or if the company is getting complacent and resting on their reputation but I was very unimpressed and I am generally very easy going with these things and rarely complain about having bad service from anyone.

Excellent, showed up on time, did excellent work and cleaned up afterwards. Very satisfied!

Please find a copy of the letter we sent to The Pool Shop, Plainfield, IN, upon completion of project, which took place in the fall of 2015 in the Fishers area. 
We wanted to take time to write this letter to let you know how pleased we are with The Pool Shop and your customer-focused employees who helped make our recent pool installation a rewarding experience.
Chris Ray led the project team for our pool installation.  We understand this was one of his first assignments as ?the lead.? 
Chris was absolutely fantastic!   He was very communicative, responsive and he took the time to help us understand every step along the process.  We could see that he felt ownership to ensuring we were pleased with our decision to hire The Pool Shop ? always considering our needs first and helping us make the right decisions from design to finish.  He helped us consider all
options and followed through with even the smallest details. 
We also have to give high marks to your sub-contractor, Justin Grounds of Grounds Quality Lawn Care. 
His vision and openness to listen to us ? even as things changed in the middle of the installation?was exceptional. 
He created a backyard attraction that enhanced the pool and the landscaping, making our new recreational area a jaw dropping attraction. 
Finally, we must complement The Pool Shop and Grounds for hiring great support crews.  Both teams worked very quickly and their attention to details were outstanding.  In addition, they were also very friendly and considerate.  The professionalism they
displayed represented both companies extremely well ? adding to even more satisfaction we experienced during the installation. 
 
Spring is just around the corner.  We look forward to attending Pool School and enjoying our new backyard experience next season.

This crew was fabulous! They far exceeded our expectations in so many ways. They were quick and did a fabulous job. They also did the little things without us having to ask - I would have them do any outdoor work for me again in the future.

They did a nice job, it looks nice and they were on time, great to work with I would gladly recommend him to any body  to get their patio work done. I would grade them an A on everything.

Extremely well. The owner and his employees were considerate and always concerned with our property and that of our neighbor. In a relatively small space  their creative ideas and use of colors and patterns turned an eyesore into a place we can enjoy and share with family and friends. The project was completed in four days and a pool that was in close proximity was as pristine as the day the project started. The work is hard and tedious and we greatly appreciate their patience in answering our questions and keeping us informed on their progress, and what was coming next. Good folks, fun to be around. It took us a while to find Grounds
Quality Lawn Care and it was worth the wait.

Phoned these folks early this spring to give us an estimate. We got an instant reply and arrangements were made for an estimate. The estimate included cleaning up street, sidewalk and driveway of clippings. As a bonus they keep our flower gardens weeded. What a relief to find an honest hardworking lawn service with time to listen to our needs then provide consistent excellent service.

What a refreshing change to find a company that does what it says! We phoned Justin for an estimate. He not only came out right away to give us the estimate but he then followed up. Within 24 hrs our .75 acre lawn was mowed & trimmed; also sidewalks, street, driveway & porch were cleaned too. In addition he offered to weed our flower beds (additional fee) regularly which has never been offered or done by any lawn service we've had over the past 20 yrs. Our lawn has never looked as good as it does right now.

I didn't like their prices. They weren't very professional. I appreciate that they come out quickly. It was right before the New Year. It was during snow and ice storm and nobody could actually get out. They were able to get out and get the driveway cleaned out but I found that they were really direct, very blunt. I would advice to go to them and then go to other companies to price them and I wouldn't advice to go with them immediately.

Outstanding! When I need them, I called them. I have used them 3 times. When we have a heavy snow, I just got a 5-way, bypass, I think, that would be shovel. I can find somebody who can get rid of my 120-foot driveway. And most people do not do residential. He has a lot of business, he gets me right afterwards. If I do not call, he will call me if I need him. His name is Justin grounds. Minimum to residential is 50 bucks.

Their price was reasonable. The guy that put down the mulch did an excellent job. He was on his hands and knees most of the day. They showed up when they said they would.

Excellent quality work. Timing was projected accurately in spite of terrible weather conditions.

Used this service through the summer for basic mowing on my yard.  I'll start with the good first.  They definitely made sure that my lawn was mowed once a week.  Now on to the rest.  Asked multiple times to have the crew raise the mower blades so that they weren't cutting my grass so short & to stop edging to the ground around the house & other obstacles.  The mowing issue was that they were cutting the grass so short that it was dying & turning brown.  The trimming was even more destructive.  Basically, they trimmed all the way to the ground so every object they trimmed around now has a ring of dirt instead of grass,  I called & spoke to the owner about this & he said he would speak to the crew to remedy the situation.  Next week, same crew, same results.  Contacted owner again.  Was told that he would address it with the crew again.  Next week, same crew, same results.  
Definitely do not recommend for any lawn service from this company as they have made a wreck of my yard.

Professional and by far the best, most reliable contractor I have worked with in recent years.  My recommendations to all that consider him for work.

Great.  Came home from work one day, and found the yard work had been done.  Work was done promptly and at a very reasonable price.  Cheaper that having to rent my own aerator and do it myself.  Justin was very helpful during our email correspondence, and worked with me on getting a plan to take care of my yard.

We are very satisfied with the work he and his team were able to do in a short period of time.  We highly recommend his company if you are in need of the many services he offers.  A+++ Experience
