I had Young & Sons grade and pour a 450 sq foot extension to my asphalt driveway. They did a phenomenal job, pouring a thick quality product and taking the extra care to cut/square up the existing drive so it was flush. I had an ongoing project over the space that required us to cut some space for concrete footers, Jami and Casey worked with the crew to come back and squeezed us in for that in the middle of their extra busy season. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with John, actually a pretty bad one that left us having to bring other people to fix the job. After John was done with the work which turned out fine, he had leftover material and decided on his own to use the product. He decided to make an additional “parking space” in the in the entrance of our home on top of our rock/gravel entrance. Who told him to do that or authorize him, I don’t know. My husband had paid him when he was already done with the initial work so there was no way to withhold any payment. Now he refuses to bring someone to remove.

Had to wait until spring for work to be done, but well worth the wait. We are very pleased with the outcome. The crew was friendly and efficient and it was great to see the owner on site too.

We had a driveway, asphalt, redone about 10 years ago. Very professional Performance. We had a problem with water runoff that they took care of quickly and we have had no problems since. Best driveway company in area.

Don came over and gave us a detailed quote to seal our asphalt driveway. The men tried to come over to do the job twice, however, the weather dictated otherwise. When the weather finally became agreeable the men came over and did a very satisfactory job. The men were very professional.

The original conversation included a driveway that would be 12' wide, The contractor claims the driveway was supposed to be 11' wide. Since this was not recorded on the contract, it was his word against ours. The driveway is less than 11' wide so we were not at all happy with the end result. After negotiating with the contractor, the contractor agreed to lay dirt and seed the transition areas at the edges of the driveway and the lawn. Several calls had to be made before the contractor lay the dirt and seeded the area. The dirt was not properly packed down so as a result some of it washed away because of the rains. Overall, not happy with the end result and the lack of response on completing the job.

Everything went according to plan. They arrived as expected Monday morning and began demolition of the old drive. They completed half the removal on Monday and the other half on Tuesday. On Wednesday they graded the drive and applied asphalt. The drive looks great!

The day of the work, we were called and told that Young's was having trouble with equipment and would be out later than projected but they would make every effort to complete our work on time as promised. They were about 2 hours late starting but the two men who came to do the job went right to work. They worked carefully and professionally. The driveway looked better after having the grass cleared and being grated. The young man who ran the grater/bucket piece of equipment was fascinating to watch. He cleared the driveway precisely and did not cut into our yard at all. Even the new area that he cut in front of the detached garage was cut and cleared perfectly. His partner swept and raked any stones that got into the yard back into the drive. After the stone came, these two men worked with the same professionalism and precision. The driveway looked perfect and there were no stones in the yard or out in the street. It was fascinating to watch them work with such precision as they placed gravel up to but not onto two sidewalks and the aprons of two garages that butted up against the driveway. After they finished they had a bit of a wait before the roller could come out due to aforementioned equipment problems, the two men kept themselves occupied with cleaning their truck doing any "finishing" touches on the driveway. The man operating the roller worked with the same precision and rolled only gravel and did not spread the gravel into the yard. If any pieces did go into the yard, the other two men cleared them out. The driveway looked absolutely perfect when they finished, it was smooth and leveled and very professionally done. Even with their equipment troubles, they finished within the promised time.

The estimator came when he said he would. Offered alternatives that I had not considered. Returned the estimate the following week. The prolect was delayed because of the rains in the spring; however, once started it proceeded in a timely manner.
