"Brian and his crew returned to my building on a warranty followup- their previous work done wonders for my flooding problems, but my foundation walls are apparently made of swiss cheese and there was one small seepage problem remaining which only shows up during a "100 year rain event".  Brian indicated that they go for 100%, not 99% and scheduled time to come back out to my building to address the issue under the warranty (a.k.a. free of charge) from the original work.  They came back out, dug up the foundation again, and found a crack hidden behind an old hasty concrete patching job that had been tarred over, which was determined to be causing the remaining seepage.  They repaired the crack and were done with the whole task in only hours.  I am a repeat customer, and can't say enough good things about Crawlspace and Basement Waterproofing solutions, they are friendly, helpful, and most of all, stand behind their work!

"I’ll begin by saying that I am very pleased with the work that was done, but glad that it is done.  Due to factors beyond my control I had to move up my installation date and had to have a family member on site while the work was done.  ARW was able to accommodate my situation by rearranging crew assignments, which I much appreciated.  Mike, the owner, made several calls to me to provide progress updates and answer any questions I might have.  He was definitely interested in making sure the job was executed well.  The crew came in well prepared and organized; it was clear that they had worked together for a while and had completed a number of these projects together – they definitely had the requisite experience to properly complete the work.  The crew was courteous and easy to work with throughout the experience.  This is hard work, but I did not observe them standing around idly – they would arrive and immediately hit it.  They happily completed a couple of minor modifications for me and made additional suggestions while putting in the waterproofing system.  The perimeter drain works as advertised.  We had a good bit of rain a few days ago and the basement remained dry.  I feel comfortable continuing with my plans to finish the area for a home office, exercise room, and expanded laundry room.I'm am also very pleased with the wall reinforcement system.  It consists of high strength straps that are mechanically attached at the top and bottom of the wall; the strapping is attached to the wall with epoxy.  To ensure a completely solid bond to the individual concrete blocks the paint had to be stripped from the walls.   As a result one is left with a flat wall that can be painted as part of the wall - the system does not take space away from the room as alternative solutions do.     This is a messy job, but one I don't regret having had done.   Before the Crew arrived I had to have everything moved away from the walls.  The Crew began by laying protective covering on the floor in route to the basement to avoid tracking dirt in.  They also covered with plastic the furnace and the water heater and the remaining items in the basement.  A couple things I would do differently:  first, I would make sure that everything that was wrapped in plastic was completely sealed with tape and sealed at the floor.  Secondly, I would have stapled plastic to the basement rafters.  The concrete dust that results from removing the concrete from the basement perimeter is pervasive – it was a job vacuuming afterwards.  But as I said, when the rain came and the basement remained dry, I had no regrets.  I recommend both systems."

"The front porch slab went ok, although we had to follow up with Tony a few weeks later to come back and remove the braces he had installed to the porch roof and wrought iron supports. The backyard sidewalk is a whole other story. We particularly pointed out to Tony that our backyard goes downhill, and we wanted the sidewalk to conform to the ground level because of the way water drains into our yard from downspouts and our driveway. His team worked quickly to put together the wooden molds for the sidewalk. Since we believed they were the experts, we didn't question what they were doing, although I pointed out, again, that the sidewalk needed to go downhill toward the back gate and asked if they didn't need to dig out some dirt to achieve that. Tony said they would do the sidewalk correctly. After everything was poured, we went out to look at the result and saw that the surface did not go downhill, but in fact the sidewalk had been made level (and above ground!). Furthermore, we couldn't open the doors to our garden shed because the sidewalk was so high. Tony was able to quickly move some of the concrete away from the shed doors, but we were still afraid that it would be difficult when the ground froze and shifted. Bottom line was we were unhappy with the sidewalk and we told him so. We said we wanted him to take it out, so we could do it over. When Tony followed up to get the final payment, we talked a couple of times about our problems with the sidewalk. We told him to take the sidewalk out, but he just kept asking for his money (all the while carrying on about how he he needed the money to take care of his family). I was finally tired of arguing with him and we agreed that I would pay the balance less a $200. credit (which my wife is still angry about). In the end, we paid someone else to remove the sidewalk and install a new concrete sidewalk to our specifications. We would just also like to say that we don't like that Tony uses his Christianity as a sales pitch."

"Outstanding all around! Mike and his crew are very pleasant individuals and were true to their word. They did the work we agreed to on the days that we agreed to -- including working Saturday and Sunday to complete the job -- at the cost agreed to. The results are excellent. We are delighted by the improvement inside the garage, for the carport to the left of the garage, and behind the garage. The concrete pad in the garage now slopes nicely toward the front of the garage, and there's a neat slot for the garage door to close into. On the left side of the garage, what previously was 3 separate concrete slabs all broken up that allowed water to pool in them are now a single seamless slab that drains toward the driveway. The stairs Mike and crew installed are robust and firmly anchored. I will definitely contact them again for future services.

"They first gave a fairly detailed quote, then in about a month came back to do the work.  They use a pier system and do all the excavation by hand so it does not tear up the yard.  Takes a little longer but in the end i was very good work.  Had to add on a lot of pipe, that should have been noted on the contract and agreed to before it was done, but in the end they only charged for the actual pipe used to pier to foundation.  Very good at clean up.  Recommend them highly if you want a fair and honest job.

"It was $300 cheaper to rip out and replace my sidewalk then do concrete leveling. I chose leveling due to schedule. That could be done immediately. Rip out and replace not till spring and then it would create a mess. In the end i wish I would have waited. The leveling was so so. I believe what the contractor did was best that the technology could do. I talked to the craft about my concerns while on-site and they were straight forward with answers. Basically technology was over sold. MasterServices was professional. They followed up before install and after.. There is a difference between service and product. My issue is totally with product delivered. Let's talk price as I'm sure many want to know costs. The minimum charge is $1500, but thats standard in the industry. I had 10 foot of sidewalk so that is why it would have been cheaper to replace. Actually 10 ft was lifted but the quote on replacement was everything 20' plus front stoop. Would I work with masterservices again? Wow that really depends! In my mind its the product delivered, not about how many times customer service calls you."
