"This was our second time working with Permeseal. Had a great experience the first time was they remediated four foundation cracks. This time, stabilized concrete steps that had pulled away from house, amd leveled out a sidewalk.. They explained the remediation effort and went to work. Very conscientious and true craftsmen."

"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"

"We’re still in the planning stage with Icon and haven’t even broken ground yet, but we already have to leave a review because they’ve been that impressive. From day one, these guys have been on top of everything. They answer our questions fast, keep us in the loop, and actually listen to what we want. No runaround, no feeling like just another job on their list. The whole design process has been way easier than we expected. They walk you through everything step by step and give you tons of options to make the house truly yours. We came in not really knowing what to expect and they made it simple. Honestly, if the build goes half as smooth as everything has gone so far, we’re going to be thrilled. We can’t recommend Icon enough — these are good, hardworking people who take pride in what they do. Can’t wait to see our dream home come together!"

Customers say: True professional

"Hector and his team did d an outstanding job. My new driveway is beautiful. They showed up when promised and worked hard all day. They found a problem with the foundation of my house that needed to be repaired before replacing the driveway and rebuilt the foundation wall next to the driveway. I would recommend them to anyone needing concrete work done."

"Great communication from getting the estimate all the way through the completion of the work. For every appointment, I would get a phone call in advance with a very reasonable time window. They did a very good job lifting one side of the garage floor without any cracks in the slab. Cleaned up everything at the end and the price was very good."

"I could not be more impressed with Max, his professionalism or the quality of his efforts. He made an appointment for 1:00 and arrived at 12:59, spent a great deal of time examining the MANY issues with our foundation, explained what was going on at ground level and below and gave me options regarding the extent of his work. He answered my many questions and quoted me a price that included more substantial repair work at a lower price than the 4 other contractors who provided estimates. His work was on time, on budget and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company to help protect your home. PS He is a very pleasant young man and extremely easy to work with."

"The workers did a great job leveling my steps. I didn't know the quote did not include sealing the material used to lift my porch. I called the company and they sent someone out to apply concrete over the exposed space."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

Yes, expanding foam (also known as polyurethane foam) can lift concrete. This approach, called polyjacking, involves injecting the foam rather than concrete slurry to fill voids and raise the concrete slab back into place. It’s often faster and requires smaller drill holes than traditional mudjacking, though it may come at a higher cost. Some contractors also prefer polyjacking over mudjacking for more damaged and delicate slabs.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
