"The Provider contacted me within 24 hours of my purchasing the service with appointments available the next day. The technicians arrived right on time and were very friendly and professional. My concern is that the work itself doesn't look very professional -- in fact, my husband commented that it looks like we did it ourselves! The technician initially planned to replace the old, yellowed caulk with grout -- which I would then have to seal. When he was finished, he said he'd been unable to do so, as too many chips in the tub finish were "uncovered" when he removed it...so he replaced it with fresh caulk. It's much whiter and brighter looking, but not perfectly even; of greater concern is that I see new "chips" in the finish that weren't there before he started and most certainly were not covered by the old caulk."

Customers say: Quick response

"After spending a lot of time trying to take out 12" wide yew shrub stumps, I decided to investigate having the job done with a chipper. I compared doing it myself with a rented chipper and having it done by a professional. Looked at rental places and on Angi, Thumbtack, and Yelp. Reviewed the suggested contractors and sent a request, with pictures, through the lead generation companies. Hugh, from Razorback Stump Removal, was the first to reach out to me. Excellent rating and price. Received a similar bid and three others at double the price. Texted Hugh that night and he came before noon the next day. The stumps were out in less than half an hour and I could only kick myself for all the time I had wasted trying to do it myself. Hugh is polite, personable, efficient and reasonable. Highly recommend Razorback."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Most rose bushes should not be heavily pruned in the summer since this is the prime growing and blooming season. The best time to trim is typically after the growing season or right before spring, depending on your rose bush variety. However, you can cut away any dead or diseased areas or lightly trim spent blooms during the summer to encourage more growth.

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.

Many recycling facilities accept asphalt shingles and then process and reuse them in various applications such as road construction and pavement. Before recycling, remove any nails or other metal components from the shingles to avoid contamination. If recycling facilities are unavailable, you can dispose of asphalt shingles at a dumping site, but homeowners should check local regulations and guidelines for proper disposal procedures. Hiring a professional roofing contractor experienced in eco-friendly disposal methods can ensure that your asphalt shingles don’t just end up in a landfill.

A thorn bush isn’t likely to do serious damage, but it’ll definitely hurt if you get a thorn or two in your hand or arm. When removing thorn bushes, always wear thick gloves, long sleeves, and safety goggles to protect against thorns and dirt. If dealing with larger bushes or unfamiliar terrain, consider enlisting a helper for assistance.

If you don’t remove a bush properly, it’ll come back each year. Removing the root system entirely is the only way to ensure the plant doesn’t have a chance to grow back. You can also use natural weed killers or you can choose to suppress the area with landscaping fabric. Additionally, consider planting alternative, non-invasive vegetation to deter the return of thorn bushes.
