This company was very fair in price for both the cleaning (which included the inspection with the camera) and for the clean out installation."

Bill doesn't break down so u can see cost of parts, labor, etc. Service men were very professional and courteous and neat. Probably would not use again because they are very expensive.

"A lot more to discuss about this than I would like. Drain tile construction seems fine, which is the most important part of this project by far! We will learn more upon a rainy season in the fall or spring. Demo was not as clean as we would have liked. We have steel studs in basement, so they pushed out walls to put drains to window wells behind electrical conduit for outlets. This ripped the drywall off of studs and pulled framing away from windows. We had to rerun electricity around the new drains and do some repairs because of this. If we had wood studs, we do not think that they would not have been able to cause as much damage, so this shortcut cost us some work. There is also a small dent in our ceiling on the main floor from when they were carrying materials. Dust was everywhere. They left the door to the basement open during demo and construction so dust was all over our main floor. Also, they mixed the concrete in our garage, so everything we move out of the basement to avoid dust is now covered in concrete dust. This is very difficult to remove since mixing with water will form more concrete. They asked what we need from them to fix this, but we do not see a good solution other than wiping down each individual item ourselves. It's a lot of work we spent a lot of time trying to avoid by following Alex's recommendations. There was a miscommunication and Reliable Basements did not put the new sump pump in, plus the check valves were put 2 inches from the lid of the sump pit leaving the pit inaccessible to us. After several attempts at communicating with them, they responded and replaced it and fixed the check valve placement in a timely manner. They missed a crack in the foundation, but were quick to come out and fill it for the same price they offered during the drain tile installation."

"Mike and Matt were great, they were skilled, efficient, and friendly. I thought replacing an under-mount stainless steel sink in an existing granite cutout would be very difficult at best. I knew replacing the faucet and disposal would be a routine job. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire job went fine and they were finished in 2.5 hours. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the old sink, etc. I will say that their prices are high, but I was willing to pay for quality work, especially with the tricky sink replacement."

They were very thorough and progressed through multiple steps of rodding and jetting before finally having to dig in the yard to add a cleanout to resolve my sewer issue. The entire team was contentious and intent at every step. Unfortunately, my 60+-year-old pipes needed a bit more than could be managed from inside the house. Not only were they professional and aggressive in resolving the issue, but they were also very responsive to our urgent needs and showed up when they said they would for every visit. This job is a dirty job- your basement is jack hammered, dirt is removed, pipes removed, new pipes installed, dirt replaced, cement pored. It takes 3-4 days. For a job like this you need to work with people you trust and who will take care of your home. Essential Plumbing and Sewer took care to protect our house with tarps, etc, and did a decent clean up job at the end of each day. 
Most importantly, Essential Plumbing worked well with me and the village in terms of permits and inspections, which is essential for me as our village has a cost sharing program for this job which requires certain steps to be followed. It all went smoothly, and we passed inspection easily.

"Black Diamond has been one of the best finds we have had as new homeowners.  I like it because it is a one-stop shop and it is very easy to get an appoinment in a reasonable time with a knowledgable expert.  Of course, it will be more expensive than calling an individual practitioner, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for..."  We had a crack in our toilet bowl when we purchased our house and it got bigger over time.  It was leaking small amounts of water, so we thought it was best to get it fixed before it became a bigger problem.  I had a plumber scheduled to come out the next day who was able to remove and haul away our old toilet and install the new one.  We are very happy with the service this company provides, and also became Crystal Club members.  The membership includes certain benefits as well as a few included annual services (ac tuneup, furnace tuneup, inspection, water heater flush).  These services alone will more than pay for the membership, so it is worth it.
