I called another plumber for a service call, who indicated that to replace the control would be about $1200. Because the heater was already 10 years old, I thought it would be more cost-effective to replace the heater entirely. I got quotes from the first service company then requested quotes from several other companies specifically versed in installing AO Smith water heaters. Not only did Green Tech respond quickly, they had the lowest quote by far (a full $1450 less than the highest quote for installing the same model), Kevin at Green Tech also took the time to see if they could first get a control unit for a more reasonable cost and simply replace it (it was less but still high enough that I opted to replace the unit; however I appreciated that he did his due diligence). They were able to schedule to come out to replace the unit the next day, texted in the morning to let me know when they would arrive, and the two-man team actually arrived a bit ahead of schedule and set right to work. Work was completed within the estimated 3 hours, including removal of the old unit to the alley (where their scrap metal person picked it up withing 90 minutes). Service Tech (Mike?) let me inspect the work, answered my questions, and waited until I ran the faucets in my house to make sure all were in working order. I had also asked them to unclog an outside drain that was causing rainwater to backup and come in under my basement door. They threw in that rodding at no extra charge! Whole work area was left clean and neat. Could not be more pleased and would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks to the whole team."

"Trust! I think trust is most important in choosing an expert to fix a problem. Of course experience, knowledge, ability and integrity are also needed. But trusting the reviews written by others or trusting the recommendation of a friend is sometimes all we have to go by. I had a clogged drain about 15 feet “downstream” from my kitchen sink. It was the result of overzealous use of the garbage disposal. I tried snaking the drain myself but the clog was too big (turns out about 2 feet of drain was totally blocked). I did research on several websites looking for a plumber in my area who I could trust to do the work right - at a fair price. I narrowed the list to 4 companies. At 7:15 PM on a weekday I called each of them. I got two answering services that could not answer any of my technical questions, another said they would have someone call me back “in a few minutes” (never happened) and then there was Dmitry. Dmitry is one of the owners of CJ Plumbing. He answered the phone himself. He was able to discuss my issue intelligently, explain the likely scenarios and give me an estimated price range (min and max) for the job. It was clear from his questions and his input that he understood the problem and knew the likely solutions. As it turns out, he was absolutely correct about the issue and what it would take to fix it. I wanted to consider what he said before making a commitment. He said I could call him back anytime in the next few hours. I called several hours later and again he answered the phone and we scheduled a visit for the following afternoon. The plumber who showed up (not the person I spoke to) was a delight to work with. He was professional, polite, and patient as he answered my many questions. He tried a few “easy” options to fix the problem (e.g. using a powered drain snake). When those did not work he said the best option was to cut out the clogged section of drain (which he had located) and replace it with a new section of pipe. The clogged part of the pipe included two 90 degree bends. He removed that section and replaced the sharp bends with pairs of 45 degree bends to allow waste to pass through the more easily. The drain pipe ran along the ceiling of my unfinished basement so there was direct access to the pipe. After replacing the section of pipe he verified that there were no leaks and cleaned up the area of the basement where he worked as well as the area under the kitchen sink. He even cleaned the sink. I was VERY pleased with his work and with his personality. The cost of the repair was within the range quoted on the phone (though near the higher end). My trust in CJ Plumbing was rewarded by their performance and their honesty. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family. I recommend them to YOU."

Install crew hoped to do install in one day - but it took two. The install crew was pleasant and worked with me to review on going installation. If you need to hire someone to help keep water away from home and away from basement this is a good company to hire."

"Mike and Matt were great, they were skilled, efficient, and friendly. I thought replacing an under-mount stainless steel sink in an existing granite cutout would be very difficult at best. I knew replacing the faucet and disposal would be a routine job. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire job went fine and they were finished in 2.5 hours. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the old sink, etc. I will say that their prices are high, but I was willing to pay for quality work, especially with the tricky sink replacement."

"Scott and Mike arrived promptly within 2 hours of my call. They attempted to clean out the sewer line from house out to street, but due to length of the pipe was unable to clean it out.
The next morning they showed up with a 3rd guy, Brandon. They dug down in the front yard and installed a "clean out tee" and cleaned the sewer pipe.
They laid out wooden boards all over the front lawn to place the dirt on as they started to dig. 
Afterward they cleaned every thing up very nicely. Grass and areas around where the clean out tee was installed suffered no damage.
Very impressed with how Scott, Mike and Brandon too extra care to protect surrounding area and they left everything completely cleaned up. 
All 3 guys were very prompt, curteous, professional and seem to take pride in their job.
Any other plumbing job I have in the future, I will definitely call back those guys at H2o Plumbing.

"I called two plumbers on a Monday and Maria at Essential Plumbing called me back right away.  She said that she could have her plumber out that day, later in the evening to accommodate my work schedule.  Fernando showed up right on time at 6:30pm and looked at the clogged disposal.  He tried to run the rooter but it wouldn't snake through so he checked the pipes in the basement.  He determined that the pipes had been replaced fairly recently but incorrectly, as it was perfectly even, when it should have been pitched to allow gravity to push the water and food down.  He said he could come back Thursday to replace the two pipes for around $800.  I also asked him to look at my shower that was clogged at the same time.  
I got a quote the next day for $1080 for all of the work done, including Mondays visit and booked him for Weds.  He arrived at 11am, worked til 3:30pm and it was all done quietly, cleanly and quickly.  The pipes were totally jammed with food and needed replacement badly.  Fernando explained very clearly what the issue was and what he had done to fix it.  He was very courteous and considerate.  He also unclogged the shower drain very quickly.
I would certainly call him in the future.
