"Love this company! Kevin saved us thousands of dollars and that is not an exaggeration. Our toilet/tub backed up. We had another company come out and take a look at it... first of all they couldn't even clear the clog, told us they had to break open the floor and change 4 inch pipes to 6 inch pipes add a sewer clean out (there is one) etc. I called Kevin, the owner, and told him what this guy planned to do. I asked if he could possibly send someone out to take a look as I was in dire straits. Kevin's team easily cleared out the sewer line of tree roots both in the basement and then out to the street, used a camera to check that the lines were clear. Green Tech is extremely good at what they do,. They have some of the best rodding equipment out there, they are honest, kind, very knowledgable and is reasonable with regards to fees. They will definitely be our first call going forward. We are so grateful we found them and highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing assistance."

"It went fine. They did a good job of working around the maze of piping under our kitchen sink, trouble shooting, and giving me clear descriptions of 2 different repair options. The repair person had some good advice regarding removing grease build
up ourselves and how to avoid clogs that may come from a garbage disposal. (I don't know if ours did.)
The only thing I didn't like was that the bill at the end seemed a little high, and they didn't include a breakdown of how they had arrived at that amount. (e.g. parts and service hourly costs. Big Deal discounts, etc.)

"As many people in the Chicagoland area likely experienced, we had some plumbing issues as a result of the Great Polar Vortex of 2019. Since we were running our water to prevent pipes from freezing, we found that we had drainage issues with our upstairs bathroom. We noticed a leak staining our kitchen ceiling and basement wall so we figured it was coming from the upstairs bathroom since that's where we had the sink turned on to drip. Guillermo came over on a Saturday to take a look at the problem. He arrived on time but wasn't 100% prepared for the task at hand. I was a little concerned with his indecisiveness on where to begin looking for a problem. He kept asking me where I wanted him to cut into the wall and look but I'm not the professional, you are. I guess maybe he was doing it because he was going to have to cut into drywall and he wanted me to give him permission to do it so I wouldn't be mad? I'm not sure but it wasn't super professional especially since I have no clue what is going on inside the walls. I don't know what different types of leaks look like and, presumably, he does. He ended up cutting way too much drywall, including in the back of the pipes and then couldn't even see the drain pipe to the plumbing he was there to inspect. Our insurance likely won't cover that so we'll be on the hook for repairing it. Sigh. Once Guillermo guessed the source of the leak, the plumber still had questions. He basically said he could cut into the ceiling under the toilet and look around or take the toilet out and see if it was a flange issue. He wanted me to make that call even though I don't know anything about plumbing. Of course, he cuts into more drywall, can't see a leak, so he still has to go take the toilet off. Turns out the toilet and the drain pipe were the issues. In the midst of cutting into the ceiling, the plumber realizes he doesn't have a ladder tall enough to see into the ceiling and neither do we. He has to go to a hardware store in the middle of all this to get one and then he comes back with a broken one (not his fault, but such a time suck). So he's out again to get a new ladder to replace the broken one just so he can look up into our ceiling. I feel like all the plumbers should be equipped with ladders and other equipment they might need in all kinds of houses because we aren't the only people in Chicago with high ceilings. That ended up being 90 minutes of time we'd never get back just waiting for him to come back and finish the diagnosis. Once we figured that out, we waited for the instillation crew to come in and replace a few feet of drain pipe and install a new flange for the toilet. We had to wait four days for someone to come and do the install which seems a bit long for a job that takes about two hours. Same thing happened with the install crew: they didn't have the correct size flange so they had to stop work and go to the hardware store. They were gone for almost an hour so my husband was just stuck waiting. They did a good job on the install once they were back and had the right equipment so our toilet is in fine, working order and draining properly. We ended up paying about $1900 for all of this work, the majority of which was labor costs. It really seems a bit high that these guys are making about $250 an hour for "work" that included going to Home Depot to get more supplies that they didn't come with in the first place. The work they did shouldn't have even taken that long and I got stuck with the bill, which seems odd. Another $375 of that was just to let the first plumber make holes in my wall that weren't totally necessary just to discover the toilet flange wasn't big enough. I know that it's not his fault that he couldn't see that the toilet was installed improperly from the outside, but it was really upsetting to have the plumber basically ask me what to do in terms of where to look for plumbing problems I know nothing about. Their customer service was always nice and easy to deal with, so that was a plus. Overall, I am happy with the work that they did since my toilet works and is no longer leaking, but I felt like the process of dealing with the plumbers in the house was somewhat unprofessional since the first didn't seem to know what to do and both sets of plumbers did not come prepared with the equipment they needed to do their jobs."

"I would use H2O again. Price was reasonable and it has been 2 weeks and my sink doesn’t back up so the work was great. Good quality work! Only issue I had was the timing. The techs didn’t show up as scheduled so I called and left a voicemail. They called right back but still ended up coming 2 hours after the scheduled time. It wasn’t a deal breaker since I had no other obligations that morning. Other than punctuality, they were great!"

"Once we had decided on the items Bill wrote up the contract and went over it item by item with us to ensure we understood all facets of the work involved.  Once we had signed the contract Bill placed the order for the custom vanity so its delivery would trigger when to begin demolition.We receiver about a week's notice as to when work would began and once it did things went quite quickly.  The crew arrived at the time stated and began to install various materials to protect the rest of the house during the construction.  Rugs were covered with a self-sticking plastic, tile was covered with construction paper tapes down and a floor to ceiling plastic barrier was created from our garage to the bathroom to prevent the spread of dust.  Our attached garage was utilized as the work/storage area.  As materials were delivered they were neatly stacked.  Each afternoon all the debris was removed and garage floor swept and materials restacked neatly.  I will have to admit the garage floor was much cleaner each night after they left than before the project began.We were continually kept informed as to who and when thing would be done by the tradesmen who were all extremely skilled and friendly.  Whenever any type of issue came up we were informed and given a choice of solutions.  Once the new construction began things went quickly.  Bill did a great job of scheduling the plumber,  electrician and tile setter to do their task without being in the way of other construction or delaying the next phase.  The only down time was waiting for the quartz counter top to be produced because since it went wall to wall measurements were not able to be made accurately until the vanity was installed.The finished product was beautiful.  I had read the many great reviews of Kitchen Village on Angie's List and I must agree this is an excellent company to work with.  There were many little things I noticed about their work.. When they were redoing the plumbing they needed to disconnect one of the outside faucets.  Instead of just reconnecting it they replaced it with a new one,  Because this room once had a pocket door a normal threshold would have looked funny so the custom crafted a new one from solid oak that looks great.  All of the slots in the screws on switch plates are vertical.  It may sound trivial but its just an example of the great care they all took with our project."
