"Juan and his team did an outstanding job painting my deck! My deck looks like a brand new deck. Juan and his team was very professional and polite! My neighbors came over and looked at my deck and they had the same thought as I........The deck looks brand new. Again I tip my hat to Juan and his team for an OUTSTANDING JOB. "Excellent from the detailed proposal to the complete cleanup. Derek and crew was professional, prepared, easy to work with, quick and quiet doing the ceiling repairs and fixing ceiling and wall stains, matching paint, and just excellent in all work. They moved the heavy China cabinet, covered all items with taping and plastic and drop cloths. They even shook out the drop cloths outside make certain they were clean."

"We had a walk-in closet built completely from scratch, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The workmanship was extremely clean and well executed, and everything was explained clearly before and during the process. Communication was excellent throughout, and the pricing was very fair for the high level of craftsmanship delivered. We are extremely happy with the final result and would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for quality renovation work."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Choosing the best color for your home exterior should factor in longevity as well as your personal taste. To keep your house looking newly painted as long as possible, stay away from red paint. Although red homes pop and are quintessential for country-style barns, red paint tends to fade fastest in the sun. Go with earth tones if you want paint that best resists fading.

Wood stain does go bad, but it will last in the can for between three and six years, provided you use proper storage techniques. Storing wood stain in open containers or in extremely low or high temperatures will cause your wood stain to become unusable much more quickly. Water- and latex-based wood stains typically last for just two to four years, while oil-based wood stains can last for three to six years.

Yes, you can waterproof any wood that has not already been treated. A good way to test this is to splash some water on it. If the water starts to bead up, the wood is treated and most likely doesn’t need another coating.

Choosing the right product involves understanding deck material, desired finish, and local weather conditions. Opt for high-quality, weatherproof formulations ensuring long-term durability and appearance retention.

Hot, intense sunshine can cause your stain to dry too quickly, which could lead it to look uneven or patchy. If you’re staining the deck during hotter months, it’s best to do it in the morning or evening once the wood has had time to cool down. If you’re staining in cooler weather with less sunshine, the time of day won’t make as much of a difference.
