We found Sean and his team when looking for a local contractor to help us build a small deck alongside a backyard rework. This project required that they work in tandem with a landscaping crew that they did not previously know. In short, they did an incredible job and I wanted to call out two specific instances which will tell you why you should work with them for your next project: First, we had an architect draw up the small deck and thought we were ahead of the game. So much so that we already poured a concrete support due to having some garage work done and some concrete left over. When Sean arrived to take a look at the job he immediately noticed that the deck drawn up by the architect wouldn't make sense and asked if it would be alright to make adjustments to the drawing before we submitted for a permit. He could just as well have said, "well you paid an architect, I can build you what they drew" but instead he proved to be the professional that he is and more. This didn’t just

The O'Rourke team was a joy to work with. Sean came out, met us, listened to what we wanted in a deck, and came back with a very competitive estimate. He was happy to make some revisions, and we hired him. His team took care of obtaining permits, removing the old deck, preparing the ground (including a weed barrier), and building the new deck. Sean was easy to communicate with and kept us updated as things went along. We realized we had made an error in what we requested, and he was able to pivot and give us a beautiful deck that we use often. Our deck is the envy of the neighborhood and we love it! Sean and crew completed our deck job in a very timely manner, and to the highest standard of perfection. The crew was efficient, polite and professional. It can be a stressful experience when hiring contractors to do a job at your home, but Sean's company made the entire process go so smoothly that there was absolutely no angst for us. Our 37 year old deck had a combination of old wood and new wood that my husband had put in, and I was skeptical about how it might come out, but the result is a unified, beautiful deck, for the first time in a long time. Excellent professional work and managed to use existing structures to cut costs. Carpentry work was master level and cleaned up very well and communication was first rate. In general lumber costs are high but the finished deck they did for my back deck is well worth the investment and will be enjoyed for years to come!

O'Rourke Deck Services recently completed work on our deck and patio. We were very pleased with both the process and the results. They were timely and professional, and communication was good throughout the process. Their work on our deck included replacing a number or boards and rebuilding a section of it, in addition to power washing, sanding, and staining. The finished deck looks great, as does the patio, where they power washed, relaid some of the stones, and applied polymeric sand. The cost of all this work was very reasonable. We'll definitely call on them again as needed.

Sean and his team do terrific work and are very reliable. I highly recommend them. I have been using them for a number of years now for my deck to be power washed and stained. If any boards on my deck need to be replaced, they do that as well ... and they do a great job!

Very prompt service. Sean was very informative and pointed out the problem areas. His crew Jessie and Al were friendly and professional also very neat. The deck looks great after replacing some deck boards and the top rail, cleaning, sanding and staining. I would highly recommend this company.
