"This was phase 2 of 3 of my window and door project. I installed another patio door and 2 bathroom windows with privacy glass. Gus had his team replace all the rotted wood and add new aluminum capping on the exterior. The products came in earlier than expected and they were able to install everything well ahead of schedule. Again, I am so pleased my neighbor referred Lifetime to me as Gus was unbelievable to work with."

"Came on site for a leaking basement window, and spotted some problems with the brick-work above the window that was likely causing the problem. Referred me to a tuckpointing specialist. Honest and good referral too!

"I had 26 windows and a patio door replaced with energy star equivalent. The crew did all the work required for the installation, including moving furniture, removing blinds and curtains and putting everything back the way it was. Mike was very responsive to my texts and very accommodating."

Customers say: Quick response

"Tom and his crew came in on 8/22/2011 and started in the rear where I was having an enclosed porch built.  They removed the existing concrete, put in the forms and poured the new concrete.  Then Tom and his crew returned on 10/24/2011, when I finally had stairs in the rear of the house, to finish the job in front and on the side of the house.  Tom and his crew were very careful not to damage anything, and there were times when they were working very close to glass and other easily damaged items.  Tom is a great problem solver, but always wants the customer to make all the final decisions.   He wants to make sure the customer is happy with the final product.

Tom and his crew are very polite and leave the jobsite clean when the job is done.  They are a great group of guys.

I've run out of sidewalk to replace, but I would recommend Tom's Construction to anyone and everyone.  If I ever decide to add more concrete to my property, you better believe I'll be calling on Tom."

"Called to school appt for estimate and within 2 days had owner out for estimate. I looked at 3 other companies and was slightly concerned that Best Windows was so much less. But decided to go with them and I am quite happy I did. I was told windows would be ready in 4 to 5 weeks (I had a large customize size window that 2 companies could not meet my requirements). 4 1/2 weeks later got a call for installation and we agreed 2 install was for 3 days after the call. They replaced all 8 windows and one sliding glass door in one day. And there was a lot of dry rot and frame damage they needed to work on. They did a great job. They explained why we had so much air leakage with our old sliding glass door (no insulation a around it at all and it was just places on concrete slab with no buffer so lots of air coming in that way). They clean up inside and outside very well. You couldn't tell they were here other than the lovely new windows. Several neighbors have since asked me who I used since they like the job done on my place. I have no qualms about recommending Best Windows to them."

"I am very pleased with my new windows. I used Home Genius Exteriors to do my roof, gutter protection, and now Windows. This is an absolute amazing company, my salesman brendan was very helpful, Devan the Project Manager helped make sure everything went smoothly. Walter and Mike also from production were very friendly and professional. And Shawn, the window installer was polite, knowlagable, and efficient. And even cleaned up on his way out. Next on the agenda is to get a new door taken care of. Highly recommend HGE"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The best tool for DIYers to use to cut glass is a glass cutter, which can either use a straight blade or a sharp cutting wheel to score glass. Once you score the lines you want to cut, elevate the scored line over a pivot point and apply light, even pressure to both sides. Make sure you wear protective gloves and glasses to stay safe during the process.

Yes, WD-40 can remove stickers from glass thanks to its chemical properties that can break down adhesives. Be sure to wear protective gloves when handling WD-40. Spray the window or glass item, and let it sit for 10 minutes before scraping it with a plastic scraper or credit card.

Glass has one of the longest lifespans of any fencing materials, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 years on average. Just how long your glass fence lasts depends on several factors, including how well you maintain your fence, the climate, and the type of glass you use.

If you live somewhere with severe weather like hail, tornadoes, or hurricanes, expect your glass to have a shorter lifespan. Pool glass is one of the thickest tempered glass materials and may last longer than other options—especially compared to laminated glass.

The cost of adding glass to your kitchen cabinet doors depends on the number of cabinets, type of glass, and labor costs. Glass typically costs between $5 to $20 per sheet and you can expect to purchase complementary hardware materials for $2 to $50 each. If you’re hiring a cabinet professional to install glass in your cabinet doors, ask them for a specific estimate before hiring.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.
