"I had an old fireplace that I needed to cancel out. CHUY knew exactly what we needed to do without any unwanted damage to the wall and ceiling. He helped me get the right people to repair the roof and capped everything shut. The tuckpointing around the house was done exceptionally well and professionally. I recommend anyone looking to get the job done right, you can't go wrong with Chuys Tuckpointing and his crew. On time and suoer clean."

"Good experience. John, the owner, arrived on time. I told him the chimneys hadn't been cleaned in at least five years. One fireplace is gas, the other is wood-burning (mostly three-hour logs). He used protective tarps in the areas around the fireplaces. The gas-burning fireplace cleaning went quickly and wasn't too dirty. The wood-burning fireplace/chimney took longer. John said it was pretty dirty. He used a good vac to suck out the dirt and soot. After the cleaning, he did visual inspections and took digital photos with his smartphone. Then, he used his ladder to go up on the roof and inspect both chimneys. He also too photos. Then, he came back in, gave me an itemized bill. I gave him a check for payment. Each chimney cleaning was $99 plus tax. He showed me the digital photos on his iPad and discussed what additional services/repairs should be done to maintain the chimneys and the associated costs. He later emailed me the report and estimate. I rarely use the wood-burning fireplace. That one needs the most repair work. He recommended using only three-hour logs in that fireplace and keeping the fires small and in the back of the fireplace. He said to get a smaller fireplace grate.

"You would never know that my chimney was struck by lightning. It took 6 hours for the work to be completed. Mr. Szczepaniak and his crew were punctual, neat and responsible. He cared about making the customer happy, which is so rare in today's world. He demonstrated what I call " old school" work ethics which was a pleasure to see. I highly recommend him.

"Jack Weber, the estimator came out March 10 to review the project. The shingle replacement was obvious, however the leak we were experiencing from our chimney was harder to analyze do to the steep pitch and placement of the chimney in the center of the roof. Jack was knowledgeable and gave us two options in relation to what the service technician would find on closer inspection. If the flashing was found to be defective it would need to be replaced or just caulking might solve the problem. We were agreeable to whatever the service tech would recommend. We signed the contract and were told we would receive a call in 7 to 10 days to schedule an appointment. To our surprise, we received a call 5 days later at 7:20 am from the service tech telling us he would be over in 1 hr to do the job.Although I was surprised by the call which was not scheduled,I agreed to have the work done even though I had an appointment scheduled for that morning which required leaving home. Normally, this last minute scheduling would not be a problem but do to my previously scheduled appointment I had to push the time back so I could be home for the repair. At 9:30am the technician had not arrived and I called the Nombach office and was told the tech would be at my home in 10 minutes, which was accurate. However do the late arrival I had to cancel my other appointment. I was surprised to see one person assigned to this job do to the steepness of the roof and placement of the chimney. Chris J the tech was obviously highly experienced and confident that only one person was required for the job.The shingles were quickly replaced and the chimney flashing was assessed and found to be in good condition requiring only caulking. The honesty of Chris in not replacing the flashing ,which would have doubled the price of the repair, was appreciated.Although we have not had an extremely heavy rain, the caulk repair appears to have solved the leak.Do to their honesty and performance on this fairly small job,I would consider
using Nombach for additional projects in the future."

"The service went very well. The quality of work seems be doing well. They were great all the way around. I purchased the Angie’s List Deal and they did the roof inspection. I knew I was having a problem and they said that the reason I was having a problem that the chimney needed tuckpointing. I had suspected this. I had them do the tuckpointing and their price was $1,100 and I thought that was very reasonable. "
