The repair work on the toilet malfunctioned and I informed them. They were going to come out and do the work that day if time or following week. Which, with the work you did and it is leaking I accepted the potential delay in service. Offered me a "service" call not a fix the work that was done call but hey, it's whatever I'd rather get things done they debate. 20 minutes later I was informed they can't do the work, due to the "area" and can no longer do any work for me ?.? Take care and I hope for the best for your company and employees."

MidAmerica Basement Systems is your premier locally owned and operated company that specializes in foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space repair, concrete leveling, and radon mitigation.
"Salesman that we were to replace dry wall. Later learned we were to have it removed. Attempts to reach supervisors and owners resulted in zero until time to do installation. Gave $1300+ down. Note: this went to the salesman, not to MABS. Then salesman stated $12,000 more if MABS removed the dry wall. Paid salesman and his friend to remove it but didn't do all of it! Sent certified letters to Cedar Rapids address after we got no verbal responses to phone calls. Later learned they receive no mail there, only in Davenport. Were to have GFI outlet placed at far end of basement. 3 electricians said not possible. Also discharge was to be underground to rear of yard which we thought meant to back! House sits on clay. Was to discharge under ground out 10 feet from house. Canceled installation and have found that other basement waterproofing companies do not require 2.5 feet of dry wall removed: only baseboard. Cost was same as MABS. Now we must pay to have drywall installed after the waterproofing is completed."

"I was really concerned that he was unfit to work. When he showed up I asked him how it was going and he said "It's to early to tell". He could barely walk and clearly had a back or other health issue. He did get the drain unclogged. The toilet he removed to clean the drain out was not reinstalled correctly. It had wax coming out everywhere from the ring and only two of four bolts were put back on. The toilet wasn't even flat with the floor, it was at an angle. Our bathroom looked like a sewer water bomb had gone off. It took a whole afternoon to clean up. He broke the cast iron clean out screw plug and put a new plastic plug on that leaked everywhere and I had to replace a few days later. He was in so much pain and not fit to work that he did just the bare minimum. I would not recommend hiring him."
