•        Frank's team at Advanced Foundation Repair and Replacement identified that my cracked basement wall and fireplace foundation had settled 1 1/2" along one side of my home, and needed 12 piers installed to lift and stabilize the foundation to prevent further cracking.    Frank provided a competitive estimate for pier jacking, based on other pier jacking I had had done on a front porch and laundry room slab, but he used a far more sophisticated technology than the other company I had used in the past.
•        They first removed a 560 sq foot cedar deck, then excavated with a Bobcat down to the base of the foundation wall.   The gentleman running the excavator operated with surgical precision, leaving a clean wall and trench for the next phase.   They preserved the shrubs I wanted saved, and the only ancillary damage was a pinched gas line for my bbq, which Frank had repaired immediately after the job was completed.   My wife was impressed that they salvaged the deck boards and reused them for roof joists on another project, and salvaged the old bricks from an underlying brick patio and provided them to another who needed a patio but could not afford bricks. 
•       The pier jacking involved driving 12 heavy steel pipes down to the solid subground (not down to bedrock) using a hydraulic press, then using those same presses and hydraulic rams to lift the foundation of the home 1 1/2 inches when all of the pipes were in place.  They then bolted and welded the pipes to the lifting flanges, making the lift permanent, and cut off the excess pipe.  The team brought in a Bobcat front loader to backfill the excavation after putting a waterproof sealant on the outside of the exposed basement wall, again operating it with surgical precision.  
•       Through the entire process, Frank and his team communicated what they were doing, and met the schedule that they had proposed.   The site was left very clean, with all of the debris removed and the area of the lawn that was covered with excavated debris was scraped clean and ready for reseeding. 
•       Frank was very responsive to my questions throughout the process, and left me with no surprises.   I wholeheartedly recommend Advanced Foundation Repair and Replacement for any foundation work needed.

"Excellent. This experience was the best I have had hiring outside help. After it was installed, I had some concerns and asked Aaron to come by. He came over on a Friday evening and to my surprise, agreed and quickly went above and beyond to remedy the situation. He was understanding and agreed with my concerns. Later I was worried about a sound I was hearing coming from the sump pump. He came up on a Sunday and turned out it was my old pump (not the new one they had installed) that was making the noise. He removed it and clearly explained why it was making the noise. The perimeter drain, pump, and dry well that they installed have all worked great since the installation, which was nearly 9 months ago now. My foundation is styrofoam, and I was afraid we would gouge the foundation since flashing had been glued to the foundation. Roger Webb was here on the date written on his proposal. I was amazed that the work was completed in 3 days. He removed and hauled away my original sidewalks. He installed french drains to re-route rain water going toward my house. New sidewalks were poured. A deck was removed, and reinstalled on the new sidewalks. Finally, gravel was applied next to the new sidewalks, and all extra gravel was applied to the gravel driveway. RW Construction is a reliable and talented group. They were friendly, and glad to accommodate all my special requests. I will use them for other projects in the future, and I highly recommend them for a variety of construction projects as they build complete homes from start to finish."

"I called the office and told them that I had a window that may need replacing. The seal looked like it had broken. They came out within a couple of days and evaluated the situation. They ordered the window and called me back when it was ready for installation. They came out replaced it and removed the old window. They were only here a half hour. They are always prompt and courteous."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
