    I had a cast iron kitchen sink with matching drains. The paint on the drains had peeled off. I bought new brushed chrome drains. He removed the old ones and replaced them with the new ones. He had to remove the garbage disposal to do it. Also made a trip to the hardware store to buy new drain...

I opted for a 2 year replacement warranty on the Redbud because they can be "fussy." 6ft Redbud: $450.00 Planting/warranty $275.00 5-6ft Nigra Arborvitae $450.00 Planting/warranty $225.00 Green Backs Program Discount -$50.00 ___________________________________ Total Payment $1,350.00 Note: I had never used this company. I typically purchase trees from an online company, but with Covid, wanted to support local business. We were doing a tremendous amount of landscaping ourselves and wanted to treat our old bones to have a professional come in and plant our investment for us. The crew was extremely polite and answered all questions. We were amazed and how fast they were! They were very careful not to upset any electric/gas lines. We had called the utility company prior to their visit. What I really like: this company only sells LOCALLY grown trees that grow in the area. Moisture and rot are the largest threat to wooden fences. Stain can help your wood fence last 15 to 20 years, but only if you choose a stain with waterproofing qualities or add a sealant. Oil-based stains create a thicker moisture barrier than water-based stains, though both are mold and mildew resistant. You’ll generally need to re-stain your fence every one to eight years to get full protection.

Maintaining a composite fence is pretty straightforward, as it doesn’t require staining or repainting. To keep it clean, scrub the fencing with a composite deck cleaner or hot, soapy water. Use a soft-bristle brush for the best results, and avoid using pressure washers or sanders. Plan to clean your fence at least twice a year. Scrubbing the fencing in the fall and spring can help prevent mold and mildew growth.

You shouldn't paint a metal fence. Painting doesn't necessarily damage a corrugated metal fence, but these types of fences are meant to flex, and paint can easily chip and break off. Latex paints can address this issue, but those tend not to be very weather-resistant. Certain paints can trap moisture in the corrugation, which can rust the metal and lead to corrosion. And finally, if you paint a copper fence, it won't patina, which is one of the main reasons people buy copper.

Opt for an interior wood stain that is rated for your type of wood. Consider your personal style preferences as well as the overall use of the room when choosing a color. Remember, the color you see at the store may look different on your actual floors once applied. This is why if you have the chance, it’s helpful to test a few options on a scrap piece of wood in the room first. Once you narrow it down, you can test a small patch on an inconspicuous area in the room to see it on the actual floors.
