Reviews of Brush Chipping Companies Near You

SavATree - Maryland & Washington DC
Arrived on time. There was some delay due to miss utility marking needed in that area. But very satisfied with service.

The company was prompt and the tree stumps were being ground quickly. The stump wood chips were left behind (not part of cost) so I had to remove the wood chips myself.

Greenleaf's Tree Service
I have an old pear tree in my yard that had numerous limbs that were dead. The tree is really beautiful and still produces pears and I didn't want to cut it down if i didn't have to. It is very close to my neighbor's driveway and I was afraid that a dead limb may fall and hurt someone. I called greenleaf's and was more than thrilled with their service. Rich is very professional and kind and was at my house within 24 hours of my call. (He had offered to come to my house within 2 hours, but I was busy that afternoon). He explained to me that the tree was still alive and that he could just trim and prune the dead wood off of it. They were at my house later that week to do the work. My neighbors even hired them to do some work in their yard. I would have never known that they had been in my yard (ie: every thing was cleaned up and spotless), except for the fact that my tree looks great! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

There was some miss communication in the begining but after that everything went smoothly. I will update again after the work is complete.

Arbor Artist Inc
Called Arbor Artist at 7am the morning we discovered a large elm had fallen in an ice storm. The tree was removed that very morning. They quickly came, cut it up, chipped the smaller brances and hauled away all debris.

Ross Tree Service Ltd
slaes rep was prompt in calling , arrived at time other then scheduled (day earlier) while another bidder was working site. gave bid, good price and I was pleased with the expected completion time of within the week. office called to confirm and suddenly they are "weeks out" , and someone would call to schedule. they never returned calls. clearly over promise, under deliver is their motto. I would avoid them .

Green Vista Tree Care
They got right back with me, both the arborist and the office staff, when I requested an estimate online. We met a few days later and I had the estimate the same day. Daniel was attentive and really figured out how the job would be done. We were given 24 hours notice of when the work was going to be done. The day of the job, they arrived on time with a large crew. They had a small forklift to take the large chunks of the trunks up our steep driveway and placed them on the truck. They were done with the whole job in less than 5 hours. Very impressive. The price was competitive with the other estimates we received, but their professionalism made them a much better deal.

Murray's Tree & Landscaping
George lived up to the best estimate I got. Unlike their greedy competitors, this service provider was very reasonable and did a complete job taking care of all the details to make it safe. They came as promised, were dedicated to doing a great job, cleaned up, and delivered a fantastic experience. I will strongly recommend them to my neighbors.

They were great. We really appreciated that they left the chips behind for mulch. We will definitely use them again.

Freedom Tree Service Inc
We've used Freedom Tree service several times to take down trees and chip/mulch the limbs and branches. They do excellent work and are probably the most reasonably priced of any company we have ever used for this kind of work.

Tino's crew of 7 men showed up early on the first day and worked diligently throughout the day to remove most of the trees. On the second day they removed the final few and completely chipped all the branches and tree trash. Their large Bandit chipper was capable of chipping up to 12 inch branches. The chips were broadcast out into the woods surrounding our house. They cut many of the largest trunks into 14' lengths and carted them to the sawmill. The remainder they cut into 18" logs at my request. On completion, they raked and restored the area to its original condition. I cannot recommend this company more highly.

Looking Sharpe Landscapes LLC
Danny sent out his crew and they did an absolutely fantastic job cleaning out the mess (no complaints about the poison ivy either, although I felt bad about that!) and laying down the wood chips I'd ordered. They ran out of both time and wood chips so I asked Danny to send them back out to finish the job. They came back the following week and finished laying the wood chips. The back has never look this good. Personable, professional and extremely competent company. Highly recommend and I will be using them again in future.

Adirondack Tree Experts
It was a good job well done. He left a lot of chips and he charged $50 more because the stump was bigger than he thought. I agreed.

JL Tree Service Inc
They arrived at 8:00 am, took down the tree, removed the wood and were packed up and gone by 11:00 am. A week later they came by to grind the stump. That took less than an hour.

Gordon W Frazier Tree Service
On Saturday, October 9, 2010, a man representing Frazier’s Complete Tree Service came to our door; he identified himself as Joe. He indicated that they were doing tree work a few houses away, and I could see their truck and workers. He indicated that they had wood chips that they distribute free wood chips around the neighborhood after a job, and asked if I wanted any. He said that the wood chips would be of excellent quality, and went on to describe that they would be only dead wood, really nice chips, with no green in them at all. I said that I would “take some.” He then spoke of bringing their truck to our back yard (via a neighbor’s driveway), and I told him that I did not want them in the back. I said that I wanted “just a little for my front beds,” and indicted the shrub beds by pointing to them. I told him they could put the wood chips in the “small grass area just to the left of the basketball hoop.” After a period of hours, my husband and I went out for the evening. Frazier’s workers came to our home after we had left, and did not knock on the door to indicate their presence (as reported by our babysitter). I had no opportunity to examine the wood chips before accepting them, and I was not there to oversee their drop-off of the chips. Frazier’s dumped their entire truck-load onto my property. The amount of wood chips left is quite large. It is covering an area of grass, a stone walkway to the backyard, liriope and hosta plants, and an ivy bed. The pile is smothering the plants, and completely prevents access to the backyard. The quality of the material left is not as described. There are some wood chips, but in addition there are throughout the entire pile: green leaves, long wood shards (up to a foot in length), complete sticks (up to three feet in length), leafy branches, pine branches. The description of high quality wood chips in no way matches the debris left in my yard. The amount of debris is far greater than what I said I would take. The area in my front beds would be covered by approximately twelve wheelbarrow-loads. I removed 20 wheelbarrow-loads from the pile, and deposited them in our wooded back yard, in an attempt to save my plants and gain a path to the back yard. I estimate that the 20 loads reduced the pile by 1/8, at most. I called Frazier’s Complete Tree Service on Sunday morning to address the situation, and left a message on the cell phone (540-229-5228) voicemail. I received a call back from Joe, who agreed that Frazier’s would remove the pile of debris from our property. I asked Joe to have the owner, Gordon Frazier, call me to confirm the date for removal. I have not heard back from Mr. Frazier. I made subsequent calls to the office number (800-539-3639) and the home number (540-937-8225), which are listed on the business card left with us. Both the office and home number calls were forwarded to the voicemail of the cell phone. I left messages for Mr. Frazier on October 11, two on October 12, and on October 17. I have not received any communication from any party at Frazier’s Tree Service since my phone conversation with Joe, and they have not come to our property to remove the debris. After one week, we had another landscape company remove the debris from our lawn at a cost of $150.

Economy Tree Care Inc
I found this company on Angieslist. I called and asked for an estimate to remove a large tree. They came the next day and left an estimate. On the day of tree removal the work crew was delayed at a previous job site and my work was delayed a couple of days. When the guys came to remove the tree, the work was done to my satisfaction.

Shifflett Tree Svc
Good job but left a big huge pile of wood chips! It is so much fun to watch the crew and they seem to enjoy it too!
