It was done quickly and Joel got us in ahead of schedule. It looks great!

We couldn't be happier with the landscaping project done for our house. Joel was such a pleasure to work with and really listened to what we wanted. The finished product was gorgeous! We will absolutely be using them again for any future landscaping needs. A+ on customer service and quality of work done.

Joel is a great person to work with. He and another company cam out and gave me a quote for landscaping and I took the "company" that bid under him. That was a huge mistake. After 3 months and $3000 dollars down the drain, I fired that guy and called Kouski to come out and give me a new quote to fix what the other guy did. He basically had to rip out everything and start anew. Kouski held no grudges with me for initially going with someone else and just wanted to make it right. He was very upset that other guy gave his profession a bad name. Joel made it look great and did it all in 3 days. Extremely happy with the work he did and will most likely call on him for any other landscape projects. Ultimate professional!

Very pleased with the design and work that was completed. Our home was new construction so it was a blank dirt canvas. The design was one I would not have thought of or one that came from others that provided a bid. It is beautiful! From the hardscape and steps to the trees & the bed design. I am looking forward to phase two of the design which we hope to do next year. Thank you Jon & Joel!

Joel was excellent. I cannot speak highly enough of him. He helped us plan for several months in advance and sent us multiple designs and even came over to do a walk through with us before construction started. He was also here personally checking on every single detail of the work. I think the attention to detail was what impressed me most. I would disregard the individual that gave an F review for not responding to an online message from Angies list, I think that is a little unfair. Joel returned every one of our calls and emails in a timely manner. He will be coming back this spring to add some trees to our back yard and do more landscaping. Our patio is a gorgeous addition to our yard!

I contacted Kouski by phone  and left voice messages approximately a week apart where I attempted to set up an appointment for an estimate. I waited two weeks for a response and then attempted to set up an appointment via the messaging feature on Angie's List. It's been another two weeks and I haven't received a response. Judging from the other reviews here it appears that they do good work unfortunately they are not very responsive to customer inquiries.

Joel was outstanding to work with on the initial plan. He listened to what I wanted (low maintenance) and made great suggestions. He provided a plan and estimate for front, sides and back of house, but offered to break it into 2 jobs (i.e. Part now, part later) without extra added. I decided to not have the back yard done for now but will definitely have Kouski do it if I decide to do it later. The work started when we planned, and his crew was awesome. They worked over several days and left my yard nicely cleaned up each day when they left. The end product looks great and was exactly what I expected! Finally I was very impressed with Joel's ethic regarding original estimate, when he was unable to get the more mature box woods he had included in the estimate he contacted me right away getting approval for using the less mature bush and offering to make an adjustment in the estimate. When I asked if the crew would clear my existing plant beds in the backyard we called it even (work I REALLY didn't want to do). I know there are other companies that would have just planted the smaller bush and waited to see if I noticed or said anything, I was very appreciative of the honesty!

Joel came when he said he would. He was pleasant and professional, and seemed knowledgale. He presented some options for our fence with different pros and cons. He set a date to come back to build the fence. We had to wait a bit, since he had other jobs, but he was open about this. In the end there was  a bit of a delay, but we rescheduled with out a problem and he was very open about this as well. In the end the fence is beautiful and delinates our property in a nice way. 
I plan to call Joel again to help with some other landscaping issues.

An aesthetic eye, a knack for detail, and a passion for landscape design sets Joel Kouski of Kouski Landscapes in another league from the other landscapers we considered. We initially picked Joel because of the many glowing reviews from Angie's List. Although he was not the lowest bidder, his enthusiasm, passion, experience, and aesthetic designs convinced us that he would deliver an impressive patio. We knew little about patios, but Joel was very patient in explaining every detail of the design, and rationale behind it, including the choice of materials, complementary plants, step sizes, etc. He pointed out some design pitfalls that we had not considered, such as the importance of the landing size.  We liked the fact that Joel planned and oversaw all aspects of the project, including the design, construction, and the surrounding plantings. We highly recommend Joel Kouski.
Joel and his crew delivered a beautiful paver patio according to his designs, and made sure to clean up afterwards. So far we have had no issues with it.

Very professional. Sent him an email and he looked at my lawn the next day. Replied with an estimate and when I told him that sounded good he did the work the next day.

In the back yard:  installed a large, beautifully shaped, paver patio.  Matching steps were built up to my patio doors.  Created stylistic plant beds throughout the yard and installed many plants and shrubs.  Trimmed trees and reseeded a large portion of the backyard.  The front and side yard was completed two weeks ago, according to the original landscape design.  This included intricate flower beds (complete with plantings), paver stones around all beds, a gorgeous Dogwood tree, and any last minute changes that I wanted to make.  I am so "awed" by the fantastic work that Joel and his crew perform.  The transformation has been amazing and I am now proud to pull into the driveway of my home.  Neighbors have stopped me to comment on my yard.  My favorite comment was, "your yard is the showplace of the neighborhood."  Joel was on site for the majority of the work, and made sure that everything was done according to plan.  He consulted me on a regular basis to ensure that I was satisfied with the progress.  It was wonderful to work with someone who is a man of his word and completes a job that exceeds your expectations. Joel make take a little extra time to get back to you after your initial consultation, but it is worth the wait.  I highly recommend Kouski Landscaping & Design. 

Almost forgot to mention that they perform snowplowing also.  Thank you Joel for "digging" me out this past winter.

Very professional on the phone.  It was difficult to get on the schedule, but I was not in a big hurry.  They missed an appointed date to come out and remove the big tree in the front yard and I had to call them back to reschedule, but maybe that was because they knew I wasn't in a rush.  The job was very well done.  Ground the stump below ground level, filled with soil, and replanted grass.  Cleaned up all debris completely.  Left everything looking very nice!

They did a good job. They were very polite, professional and courteous. They were very easy to work with and had reasonable prices. I would recommend them.

Joel patiently worked with us to finalize a design.  This transpired over the course of at least four in person meetings as we kept asking for additional features to be added to the plan.  Joel was always enthusiastic, patient, and professional. His designs looked like something from a landscaping magazine.  We were very impressed.  Joel gave us an estimated start date andfinish date for his work.  The work began on the date Joel predicted and was completed in the time that he specified.  He was present every day and supervised all aspects of the project.  Every member of his team was talented, professional, personable, and considerate.  They completed each aspect of the project with meticulous and exceptional craftsmanship.  From the big things (like attention to detail) to the little things (like throwing away their trash -- the work crew never left debris in our yard), Joel and his team exceeded all of our expectations. 
The patio, fire pit, and pergola are gorgeous and very well-built.  They are both beautiful to look at and structurally sound.  We?ve
had people we don?t know ask if they could take pictures (it?s that impressive).  Joel and his team are amazing and their work is incredible.  We are very happy to have worked with them and highly recommend them.  They go above and beyond.  Kouski Landscapes is without a doubt one of the best companies we have ever hired.
