Customers say: True professional

"Excellent! We are very pleased with the completed job. Steve scheduled the initial trip to our home to do the work we needed. However, after examining our project, he pointed out that the old fans had not been installed to code and more extensive work would have to be done. He provided an estimate for the work, gave a clear picture of the potential issues with the project and was able to complete it on another date. He was clear in his descriptions of the problem, the solutions, potential complications and gave his best recommendations. He was respectful, courteous, timely and very workmanlike and professional. He was compliant in regards to wearing PPE during this pandemic. His pricing was fair (I always get 3 estimates). Steve will be the first one we will call for any future electrical work."

"Joe was a great help with our electrical projects. We had several smaller projects that we needed done in our new house. He recommended some ways to simplify our projects, quoted a reasonable cost, and performed great work. He even did a great job cleaning up after finishing. I would highly recommend him for your project!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If you notice frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or outlets that spark or feel warm, your Bolingbrook home likely needs electrical attention. Homes built before 1990 often require panel upgrades or rewiring to support modern appliances and smart devices. Planning ahead for EV charging or remodeling? Schedule work during milder months to avoid weather complications and keep your home’s electrical system safe and reliable.

Helpful?

Upgrading your electrical system in Bolingbrook can significantly boost your home’s resale value and attract buyers looking for safety and modern features. Adding GFCI outlets, updating panels, and installing smart home wiring or EV charging stations are especially appealing in neighborhoods with older homes. These improvements set your property apart, making it more attractive to buyers seeking move-in-ready homes with up-to-date electrical infrastructure.

Helpful?

In Bolingbrook, skipping electrical permits or inspections is a frequent misstep that can lead to safety issues and fines. Homeowners often underestimate the need for GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages, especially in older homes. Overloading existing circuits when adding appliances or smart home features is another risk. Always hire a licensed electrician to ensure your project meets Bolingbrook’s safety codes and passes required inspections.

Helpful?

Bolingbrook’s humid summers and harsh winters make weatherproofing essential for any outdoor electrical work. High humidity can cause corrosion in exterior outlets and fixtures, while winter ice and snow may damage exposed wiring. Thunderstorms increase the need for whole-home surge protection. Scheduling electrical upgrades in late spring or early fall helps avoid weather delays and ensures your system is ready for seasonal temperature swings.

Helpful?

For Bolingbrook homeowners, start spring by checking outdoor outlets and lighting for winter damage, and test all GFCI outlets. In summer, monitor for overloaded circuits during high AC use and storms. Fall is ideal for inspecting heating system wiring and outdoor fixtures. During winter, check for safe holiday lighting setups. Schedule a professional inspection annually, especially if your home is over 25 years old or after severe weather events.
