"We didn't receive the sign off from the city inspector. called Lincoln sewer, a couple of days later paperwork was left in the doorway. A simple receipt signed with the word "passed". The inspectors card was with it. I called him and asked how did the line look out to the street? He said he didn't know cause there was no camera to view the line. I asked him what did he pass then? he said the installation of the cleanout. I called Lincoln sewer, they came out again, re rodded, ran the camera down the line. It was clean from the catch basin to the parkway, but at the curb and beyond there was water in the line and you couldn't see anything. Lincoln sewer seemed to find that odd. they ran 50 ft of rod and camera into the street and the camera, and kept on searching in the street for where the rod or camera had made it do. but couldn't find it. They stated "your drain is fine" those pipes in the street could make a drop off. Me being overtly trusting, I helped load their heavy equipment into the truck and off they went. ........I've been calling the ward office to have the tree causing the problem to be removed, and they told us we should sign up for the city's private drain program, where the city checks the drains and fixes the drain if the problem is in the parkway to the street. I called the city and they said I had to hire a licensed plumber to rod and camera the line with an inspector to sign off on! I told him what took place, and he said, that's not right, call lincoln sewer back and have them camera the line with an inspector present to see it to the street. the permit is good for a year. Infuriated, I called lincoln sewer, only to rudly @#$#@ curse at the nice lady who answers the phone for them. My bigley Bad. Instantly I got a call back ******** me out for my language! I agreed, it wasn't her fault, it was his. We're scheduled for a 3rd time, with a camera and an inspector. I called the nice lady back and apologized. The third and visit is next week. The season pro from Lincoln sewer was upset when he found out no cam was present for the inspector. He felt bad by not being their, I should have been there, but had to leave, do to mom in laws things. But that doesn't change anything. I still coughed up 2800 bucks. Have had no water back up issues since, nobody likes paying for a service that was sold to me, then not getting it. A city inspector didn't look at a camera and inspect my drain from beginning to the street. There could still be a problem, and there shouldn't be. A lot of Ugliness has happened and is still happening. None of this would have occurred if the camera was there for the inspector to view as contracted on the the first visit. I'm upset, the nice ladies upset, the Lincoln sewer is upset. But I still don't have proof from the city that things things are good as promised or paid for."

"They had great customer service. They came over in the 2 hour window given. They called before arrival or that they were on their way. The only concern I had was that they were going to leave the tree roots on my front lawn but I brought out the garbage can for them to dispose."

"Anthony Pane came to our house and we discussed our problem and ideas. He knew right away the solution to what we needed. He gave us a couple of options, and wasn't pushy. He knew his job well. We were pleased. He gave us options to different sump pumps. We chose the pump system that would work best for our solution and a battery back up system too. Mainly in case the main pump ever failed to work, then we would have a backup if needed. The crew promptly came out on the day scheduled for the job. The whole crew knew exactly what they were doing. They had a great system. Each man knew exactly what his job was. They worked great as a team. One man worked inside on the new sump pumps, and two workers doing the digging, and laying of the new drainage pipes outside. They came about 7:30 and were packed up to leave by 2 pm. We hardly knew they were here. All the guys deserve a pat on the back. There was a slight problem with either the battery or the box, and it was all taken care of within a day. The installer noticed it wasn't working right , and he got on it right away. They tried a couple of things, but it ended up to be a defected box. They replaced it the next day. Once they determined that it was the control box for the batteries, they came back the next day, along with the owner of the NexPump, delivering a new battery system. Both Reliable Basements and NexPump worked hand in hand together for great all around service . Super service !!! We definitely would recommend them for any drainage problems, or any sump pump replacement system. ( We have been looking for years for the combination of a new sump pump system and fixing our drainage system outside. )

"Mike and Matt were great, they were skilled, efficient, and friendly. I thought replacing an under-mount stainless steel sink in an existing granite cutout would be very difficult at best. I knew replacing the faucet and disposal would be a routine job. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire job went fine and they were finished in 2.5 hours. They cleaned up the work area and hauled away the old sink, etc. I will say that their prices are high, but I was willing to pay for quality work, especially with the tricky sink replacement."

"Sam and his team at F3 plumbing were excellent. I recently purchased my home and have had several contractors come out and take a look at plumbing issues, F3 was by far the most straight forward and gave me a great quote. They preformed the work professionally and efficiently. Within a day they were able to come out and look at my plumbing and equipment. I ended up having them fix a leak in my water main line, rod the sewer, replace and upgrade my 50 gallon water heater with a 75 gallon water heater, demo and reinstall a full bathroom with bath tub, tile, and floor replacement (looks brand new beautiful and modern), and install a brand new dishwasher with a new connecting water line. Everything looks great and was professionally installed and they hauled away all of the trash. Great company and highly recommend!"

"I called two plumbers on a Monday and Maria at Essential Plumbing called me back right away.  She said that she could have her plumber out that day, later in the evening to accommodate my work schedule.  Fernando showed up right on time at 6:30pm and looked at the clogged disposal.  He tried to run the rooter but it wouldn't snake through so he checked the pipes in the basement.  He determined that the pipes had been replaced fairly recently but incorrectly, as it was perfectly even, when it should have been pitched to allow gravity to push the water and food down.  He said he could come back Thursday to replace the two pipes for around $800.  I also asked him to look at my shower that was clogged at the same time.
I got a quote the next day for $1080 for all of the work done, including Mondays visit and booked him for Weds.  He arrived at 11am, worked til 3:30pm and it was all done quietly, cleanly and quickly.  The pipes were totally jammed with food and needed replacement badly.  Fernando explained very clearly what the issue was and what he had done to fix it.  He was very courteous and considerate.  He also unclogged the shower drain very quickly.
I would certainly call him in the future.

"The job went very well and the work was done much more quickly than I expected.  I thought that the old laundry sink would take a great deal of time to remove and be replaced with the new one, but that was not the case.  The area was left in very clean condition.  Overall, the job was done very well, professionally, courteously, and swiftly.  Communication between me and Splash Plumber was timely and accurate.  When I need additional plumbing work done, including periodic sewer rodding, I will use Splash Plumber."

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

Continuous feed garbage disposals are the favorite model for many homeowners for a reason. As opposed to batch feed models, add food scraps to the drain whenever the disposal is running. This variety is also typically less expensive, more convenient, and easier to clean.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

In some cases, it’s more cost-effective in the long run to replace a garbage disposal, but it depends on the specific issue you’re having and the age of your disposal. You should ask a garbage disposal repair tech for a quote to repair your appliance and then see if it would be more worthwhile to replace it. Additionally, garbage disposals last for around 15 years, so if you know your appliance is reaching that age, it’s likely better to pay for a new garbage disposal rather than sink money into repairs.
